I’m glad I’m not the only person hounding people at the grocery store to know what their fragrance is. 😂 My gf has Wulong Cha and it smells great on her. She layered it with Jo Malone Fresh Mint Leaf the other day and that was a nice combo. I’m also eager to try the X version.

This is why I always say if anyone is my nose twin it’s you. The notes you love, the scents and how you describe them. Ginger, cardamom and pepper… this is my favorite category of “clean” scents. Gimme fresh spicy everyday!
My go-to is Byredo's Gypsy Water. Even though there's pine and juniper, the citrus and powder notes balance it out as my favorite year-round fragrance for the office (complex but inoffensive). I JUST tried my sample of Apollonia yesterday and I was underwhelmed at first. I am not normally into musk (I normally like heavier amber florals) but I was curious about all the hype from musk lovers. I eventually found myself compulsively smelling my wrist every 10min! This is the most fascinating, creamy musk I've ever smelled. I'm just worried my humid climate will suffocate it 😔

I don’t know what’s going on- we are totally on the same wave-length or something. I just went into a nice fragrance shop near me and picked up some fresh scents for summer in 5 ml bottles. The first one was Wulong Cha and the other was Delina la Rosee. I’ve been meaning to smell Roses on Ice too. This for sure validates that we have such similar fragrance preferences! My all time favorite summer scent is Blackberry and Bay by Jo Malone. I’m constantly searching for something better than that, and nothing yet has come close. It’s bright, clean, herbal and slightly green with tart/sweet blackberry. I also tried Ella K Poem De Sagano. It’s a yuzu cocktail with bamboo in the mid. Really beautiful and refreshing but doesn’t last at all! I’ve already ran through my 5 mil sample. I’m so curious to try your cardamom favorite!! ❤
Ooh I would add PDM Meliora for a fresh, fruity, green scent surrounded in a cloud of musk ☁️. And if you’re into photorealistic blood orange with a hint of sandalwood then Atelier Orange Sanguine is like biting into a juicy blood orange 🍊 😋
I bought Floraiku One Umbrella for Two based on your review and you saying it’s one of your favorites. I had always heard people preferred Deep N Desire Yacht which I also have. But I’m with you! That tea just gives it something special! Thank you for that recommendation! It’s now my favorite in my collection!
I was eager to smell Delina la Rosee based on descriptions. I went to Nordstrom a few days ago to give it a sniff and was really disappointed. For me it smelled like a less likeable version of Chloe. Extremely similar actually. I didn’t really find it to be a freshie but I thought the drydown of Meliora had a nice freshness about it. Albeit a bit on the sweet side.
Great suggestions and not the same ones everyone else is recommending. I get a lot of lime in Lineage - it really is nice. Just purchased Sun Bleached and Love at First Sight from Jovoy - really loving Une Nuit Nomade house. My 4th bottle of UNN in a month.

Right now my favorite freshie is Phlur’s Missing Person. It smells like clean skin. I wear it every evening when I’m relaxing at home. It’s too light to wear out in public. It’s not strong enough to compete with the metallic stench of the air pollution here in SoCal 😂 Another clean freshie I enjoy is Arizona Bloom by Floral Street. Kind of masculine, reminds me of Another 13 by Le Labo. My absolute favorite fresh perfume is LV Symphony but I can’t afford it in this economic dumpsterfire we are in thanks to good ol’ Dementia Joe and the entities that are pulling his puppet strings. 😞
I don’t get any type of sweetness or citrus from Wulong Cha, unfortunately. It pulls very deep and bitter on my skin. I also don’t pick up the fig; basically all I get it the tea. I’m hoping I’ll have better luck with Wulong Cha X.
