  • Lord Shiva is depicted as a serene, ascetic figure with a blue throat, symbolizing his role as Neelkanth after drinking poison to save the world. He has matted hair with the crescent moon, from which the sacred river Ganga flows, representing his connection to time and life. His third eye on his forehead signifies inner vision and his power to destroy evil. Shiva wields a trident (Trishula) and is often shown with a snake around his neck, symbolizing his mastery over fear and death. Seated in deep meditation, he embodies both destruction and regeneration.
