    One thing I love about St Woolworths is the location, perched atop the hill the sound resonates across nearly all of Newport. I live next to the Millennium Bridge in the south and in summer with my patio windows open I can clearly hear the bells. Also....they have 13 not 12, have a #7 (b6)

      It's the sally wound around his hand to get better grip on the chiming

    I know closed handstroke is common in devon (nothing wrong, sounds lovely, just different), but didn't realise the call to start is different. No 'look to' in devon?

      We usually do when we pull off the stay, but different ringers use different phrases to get us going in the rise. Some people use Look To, others just say Go or Pull.
