@@jordangreen5712 agree with you on this. Saw them recently in Boise, ID and was slightly caught off guard by the singing, but I think they’re George is going to get better and better as he explores this style of vocals. In George I trust!
Awful vocals. Just terrible. The Studio version sounds WAAAAAY BETTER but i mean in a way that i cant believe its the same vocalist doing this shit that im seeing. Infinite granite was my fav album of 2021 and this right here is Just frustrating
@J I think the better option is that we collectively forget Infinite Granite ever existed, and on the next album he goes back to doing what he does best haha
I like IG, but hated the vocals. And all the lives till now sound even worse. Sorry to say, but to pull off this type of music they needed someone more talented than George. Dude cant clean sing for shit. :(
What??? Man, I mean, Deafheaven is so versatile, this album is a masterpiece, certainly quite different than the other ones. But, I can't say they're not going in the right direction.
From the live videos I've seen he can't pull off what we hear on the records. I LOVE the new album, but the live videos show that they aren't capturing the magic out on the road.
@@deepfocus888 like people can come to conclusions from live videos with crap audio lol. They are amazing live. Some of the best energy i have ever seen. His vocals will take some time though I agree
@@dredgtones saw them last night in New Haven, show was awesome. Not perfect but pretty damn good. And I'm 100% guilty of uploading shitty audio from my phone. It's better than nothing for those who couldn't make the show, but it obviously can capture the real sound/experience
really needs to drench those vocals in reverb
The vocals mix was too far forward for the first couple songs. They sorted it out after a bit.
Everytime I hear a poor mix in a bands sound I think to myself, "I guess they forgot to do soundcheck" 🙄🤷♂️
This song is my jam.
Foda!
04:54 - For a split moment I thought he got punched in the face.
Bro was feelin' himself lol
George is much better at live screaming than singing that's for sure heh
It’s good to see artists step out of their comfort zone though. It sounds, to me, like he is just getting his sea legs here.

I agree. Nothing practice and a vocal coach can't fix. Hopefully he realizes this.
Chucha la versión callampa del loco, hay que remojar en sal al vocalista
God damn he still can't sing in key. Might sound okay mixed live, but on recordings he sounds like an awful karaoke singer.
Damn it you’re right

@@strangemolars Same I fucking love IG but his vocals are pretty bad live. He needs way more singing lessons
what? the vocals on the album sounds fine
Unfortunate direction for a really good band 😔

This album is great. Wtf you talking about
