I love this video! I went to the gym today and I walked 2 whole miles. Just last month I could only do 1 mile and I was sweating and breathing super hard. Today I did 2!
I'm so happy I came across this video today. Your vulnerability and honesty are so refreshing and these really are such important truths!! THANK YOU! 🙏
“The time will pass anyway” is something I heard recently and now it’s stuck in my head and always comes to the forefront of my mind when there’s something I don’t feel motivated to do, but NEED to do.
Love this. I’ve maintained a healthy body weight for over 30 years now from being a very overweight child and overweight until my mid twenties. When people ask me for advice, my number one answer is don’t worry about how long the journey is going to be. The time will pass whether or not you decide to embrace a healthy lifestyle. The choice you have is simply to move forward positively or to find yourself in the same, or far worse position than you are in today, two, five or ten years down the line. Make choices, develop healthy habits, don’t sweat the small stuff and keep living your life!! There are so many components to having a fulfilling and happy life. Don’t focus too hard on any single one of those components. And remember that healthy food can make you just as happy as junk food. Your palate will change as you move on in your journey, and I absolutely PROMISE you, that the day will come when you crave a beautiful fresh bowl of salad more than a slice of cake. Move more, eat more mindfully and get on with your life. Congratulations. You look amazing.
This is one of the most honest and lived out responses to a healthy life that I have seen. It’s much more relatable when the person has lived what they are speaking. Thank you for having the courage to be so transparent about your mindset when you started to the trials you’ve overcome so far.
Congratulations!!! I’ve lost 65 pounds since last March but have been in a stall for the last couple of months. It’s hard not to get discouraged. Thank you for reminding me that we are in this to feel better and be healthier. That was definitely my intent before I got focused on the scale.
Getting back on the wagon with about 40 pounds to lose and a lot of inflammation to reverse. I love all your videos. It’s inspiring how you pushed through 3 years to get where you are now. We can do this!
Congrats on your progress!! Thank you for making this video. Loved hearing the truths, I am just restarting my journey and loving hearing about how others handle all the things also.
I just found your channel and subscribed because this video was the most encouraging one on weightloss I’ve seen in years!!! Congratulations. I can do it too now!
It’s so refreshing to hear this. I’m starting year three still trying to reach healthy. I’ve lost and just maintained for long stretches then lost more weight. I’ve not gone back to my starting weight which is the first time it’s ever happened this way for me. Working towards our health will still move the needle forward even if the scale doesn’t move.
Congratulations Jessica! What an amazing journey you’ve been on. Thank you for encouraging the rest of us in real and practical ways. You have definitely motivated me to stay on my fitness journey to be healthy for my kids. All we want to do is give them the best life and the best experiences while we still have them under our roof, and if we aren’t healthy enough to do it with them then that will be a big regret after they grow up.
I think it’s so awesome you worked so hard because you wanted yo enjoy life!! And you are there! You have been doing so many fun things over the last many months, and I love it!!
Congratulations for your progress!! And, thakn you for sharing and reminding us that it is hard work and not to give up! You're so right about time passing either way - I've used that tip many years for my many various goals and I find it so motivating whenever I start comparing myself to other people!
I am starting, hopefully, my health journey. I want to lose weight to also be there for my daughter and to enjoy my life. I'm really happy for you and how it's going. It's encouraging. ❤
I love this! I’ve been walking everyday since Dec 16 and working out quite a bit. I’ve went back and watched your food videos on Sunday before we went to Sam’s to get some foods! Thanks for the help! I’d love to see more food videos or week of exercising. Idk I just like watching you and your journey!
You are crushing it, thank you for the motivation. We are a homeschooling family in South Africa where it's still not very common, you are always such an inspiration.
Wow! Thank-you for your vulnerability in sharing your journey. I've been on a healthy body and lifestyle journey too. Thank-you, I really needed to hear what you shared today.
Congratulations! Such a huge milestone 🎉🎉 thanks for sharing, you have been a huge motivation and help the past few years. I started my journey about a year or so after seeing you working so hard. I was pretty strict the first 9 mo, in the last 4 mo was trying to back off a bit, because I was tired and just going through the motions. I was still exercising regularly because I have to take my kids to their activities at the Y 4 nights every week so I am not just going to sit there, but I definitely lost the motivation I had the previous 6 mo. However, I did finish the year hitting a big weight training goal...then we went on vacation for 2 weeks and came back to...not being able to hit that weight anymore 😂 but I know I will get back there! The progress definitely isn't linear, but my biggest goal as I continue on my journey is to make exercise a habit. This year I have a goal of being able to do an unassisted pull up by the end of the year. If I hit it sooner 🎉, then I will keep working to see how many I get to by year's end. Like you said,, I know I will be at the Y all year long, so I might as well put in the work and see how far I can go, because the time will pass anyway❤❤❤
Congratulations!! Definitely good tips to think about when I start my weight loss journey. I am the same way, I am an emotional eater and it’s definitely hard to find the motivation every day. I would like to lose about 75 lbs or so.
I said this before, you are gorgeous Momma! Great job! Keep it up. Muscle weighs more than fat. I learned that years ago when I was doing weight watchers for the first time. I need to get back to working out too. My weight came from taking Prednisone for my lungs. Now, I need to get those pounds off! I am taking vitamins daily now, so that is one good thing I started. I just need to get my butt working out. Everything you said in this video is true! Good luck and I hope you get to your goal soon!
Bravo! Really mindset is more than I ever dreamed! I hadn't struggled with weight until I had my 3rd baby and almost hit 40. I have lost 5 pounds...in 5 months. Thanks for saying the scale is a liar. 😂 I am really just trying to just be healthier...it really is a journey!
Congratulations on your weight loss!! "sometimes progress isn't always moving forward, it's just not moving backwards" is a great way to look at it!
