Great song. I remember this being praised very widely when it came out and rightfully so. I was working in Burtons, a clothes store in the UK during this time and my one colleague Chris loved music but was really fussy with what he liked. He adored Deacon Blue. I was maybe about 18-19 so he was a kind of mentor of music to me. The whole album deserves so much praise because at a time when music was becoming more overly produced and polished, Deacon Blue came out with this album. Bluesy, jazzy... perfection. The band will always have a place in my heart for sure. Great breakdown of the track by yourself as always. Thank you.
Saw them live back in the 80s - a mate at college knew Ricky & Lorraine and just kept on & on about them so of course we all traipsed along to check them out - i love Born in a Storm leading into Raintown.
You guys are great, id love to see a reaction video fir Muscle Deep or The Motive by 80s London band ..Then Jerico. They were massive in the UK fir a brief spell
Most of the big creative and successful Scottish bands came from the west coast (Glasgow). They left the more boring stuff like the world leading science, mathematical, medical and engineering breakthroughs to the capital city Edinburgh in the East coast 👍🇬🇧🖖 Is it time for Dad to set up a nice Spotify playlist of the top channel favourites.........
I just adore Deacon Blue. So many many good songs. LOADED is a brilliant song.
Oh and Chocolate Girl is this kind of vibe too.

Couple of Scottish bands from the same era, Hipsway-honeytheif and Love and money- strange kind of love. Great reaction.

The whole album was great. Not a bad song on it.
we want the reaction of new songs of maneskin!! Start from Valentine and Trastevere and then the other two (The Driver and Off my Face)
another good slow tune from deacon blue is "love and regret"
I think the guys doing backing vocals on this one were on quite a few Paul Young hits around the same time.
