Thanks for this helpful video. I am just starting to learn to do home recording of my sax playing. I would like to be able to get a delay plugin ( to use with Audacity) that I can set up in such a way that I get the delay effect on some notes only. I suspect that one way to do it is to use the note volume to trigger the delay, then use compression to "normalize" the dynamic range of the whole sax track. I am not sure if that approach makes any sense. What is the best way to accomplish this? Is there a plug-in that will do that.?
I get the idea but you sped through the routing/sending process, so it's unclear, to me.. I have Cubase, so I opened an FX channel and then Inserted a compressor into it, followed by a Delay. I Sidechained the Compressor, varied the Threshold and got no results. Is your LV channel your main Vocal? Did you open a separate LV Delay channel. I can't grasp how the Comp affects the Delay?
Hey There .... you have your vocaltrack and from that you send to a fx-bus.On the fx-bus you have your vox delay and a comp(comp is the last fx in the Chain)..... open up your compsettings and make sure that you’re keying your vocaltrack to the comp... 😃👍🏻
Great tip the side chain comp. It really makes it sound smoother than automating the delay!
Answer my question about widening. The color!!! Thaaaaannnkkkk youuuu
Sick vocals
Can you do a video on how to used the stereo wider in the mastering and how to properly used the wider dB
