Gosh I miss watching her. I would sit and cozy up in my blanket, snow falling outside and watch her southern cooking sipping my coffee. Honestly, I like this laid back version of her BETTER lol. Love her.
Eddy’s voice is so soft and soothing...
Yall like that smooth shit huh
PINE SHIMMER I think you must be talking about her husband, Michael.
Yes. I agree. 🥰
Eddy is cute.
@@Dc-vp9im yes, he is!!! 😊
I had no desire to make this and started to look for another video to watch. Then I said to myself, it’s Paula Deen, I would enjoy watching her do anything.
Love Eddie joining in! Usually he's so quiet. "Are two crescent rolls a serving...please?" 🥰 Sounds just like me!
"Just in case there's 1person who never heard of it". Paula says.... Well Paula I am a person who has never heard of it but am gonna make it. We love Mt Dew it looks so good 😍. Thanks for sharing.
I've never heard of it either.
Me too. Never heard of it. But I m going to call it Jacked-Up Cobbler , a recipe I got from Paula. And let everyone guess the secret ingredient. Lol.
Me either
I’ve made it a few times. It’s amazing!!
Mountain Dew is toxic. Entire communities have only one tooth between them drinking it. Of you care about your family you wouldn’t be buying it.
Paula is still a National Treasure🥰 “If this Mountain Dew jacks me up, so be it 🤷🏾♀️🤣
Add pecans or walnuts, vanilla ice cream & caramel topping. It’s delicious
I love watching you here on RUclips! It seems your channel is more about “comfort cooking” rather than “quarantine cooking”- hey, that could be the new name! Love you, Paula!❤️
Paula, I've made these SO many times, for many years! I've even used Sprite and Ginger Ale when I didn't have Mountain Dew! One time, out of desperation, I had to use Coca-Cola....hahaha. Not bad either! Also, if you really want another twist to it, use PUFF PASTRY!! Better than Cresent Rolls to me. Cut the sheets into triangles and do the same. Puff Pastry is my best friend!! 🤣
ooooh! puff pastry! I'll have to try that next time. I love this recipe!
I love your suggestions with puff pastry and ginger ale....this is a "must try"....for sure! :)
God Bless to Team Paula, Theresa and Eddie...thanks for brightening our mornings. Y'all work so well together. "Don't sit under the apple tree with anyone else but me..."
Hey, how many times are we allowed to hit the like button? Miss Paula, I absolutely, positively, without a doubt, have to try this. Lol...
Good morning everyone!
I've made something similar to this (uses a little less sugar and a Sprite instead of Mountain Dew) and everyone loves it! Bonus that your house will smell like fall while it bakes! 🍎
Yea, no reason to add that much sugar. Worth a try to see if it could be made with less calories.
I had not made this recipe in over two years. I tend to overindulge. It is wonderful. When I take it to events or dinners, it is always a huge hit. People just love this dessert. Everyone should try this recipe.
I had never heard of Mountain Dew cobbler.
It's a apple dumpling recipe very old she trying to put her own twist on it
Never heard of this which is odd because Mountain Dew used to be my drink of choice! I just celebrated my 2 years of no soda! Big thing for me because I always had a bottle or glass in my hands of Mountain Dew Code Red. With that said Mountain Dew doescome in many flavors. Code Red is cherry so I bet it would make a great cherry cobbler! Live Wire is orange. White Out which is I think pineapple (oh I can taste that one now). Jet Black which is grape. Baja Blast which is berry. And a few others. Some are no longer in all market areas. Thanks for sharing.
Baja blast is lime flavored and white out is citrus
@@bflandragon90 thank you I thought it was raspberry.
There is one called Maui blast.
I've only found it in one place in Kentucky.
It tastes like pineapple.
@@jerrykinnin7941 i heard that one was a KFC exclusive
Listening to Paula’s laugh is a childhood memory for me & I love it that much more now. I don’t think I could appreciate it that young. ❤️
I have been making this for years, except I always knew it to be called Mountain Dew apple dumplings not cobbler. I can attest to how wonderful this tastes. Its a favorite with our family, served hot from the oven with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Always a win.
Look up “decadent” in the dictionary, there’s a picture of this cobbler! But, I’ve got to make this for when I’m not caring about my diet; it looks sooo good. Paula, you’re the source of all the BEST recipes! ⚡️💖⚡️
I have been making a similar recipe for over 30 years with Honey Crisp or Granny Smith Apples. The Mountain Dew cooks down with the sugar and butter to make the sauce. I have used any type of citrus soft drink ...7Up, Sprite etc even Ginger Ale. This is a favorite dessert at family gatherings.
Hi there cutie patooty! I have made something similiar that called for orange juice. So good too. Paula, thank you so much for doing these. I have been so down lately and you have brought me out of the gloom I was in. Saying thank you just isn't enough! You have taken us into your house with such a wonderful welcome. Love you all so much. Please keep these coming. xoxoxoxox
We've always called these apple dumplings. Whenever I make them for church, I never get any.
Oh Paula, that's looks so good. Thank you so much for your videos. I just love watching you and Teresa, and Eddie talking and laughing together. Your lil laugh just tickles me. You all just make my morning. Keep it up. And thank you again. 💗
My grandma has made these for years and years and they are always a hit
Sugar, caffeine and delicious apples! Kids should love it.😋😋😋🤣🤣🤣😳
I hit play this morning ...first thing I heard was MOUNTAIN DEW 😁😊. This got me so excited and gave me energy at the same time. Good morning Y'all...I make these for my family they absolutely love this dessert . They are gone as soon as they hit the table. The calories are so ridiculous... but so DELICIOUS 😋. Guys have a beautiful Saturday love you all♥️.
Top o the mornin to ya, Sweetie! I can't believe how good these look!
So, should I make Creole shrimp with Mountain Dew chasers?!!! LOLOL.
@@heidid5275 that sounds yummy for sure. I believe I am making ribs tonight for supper . Them apple dumplings are soooo amazing. 😋
@@heidid5275 mountain dew chasers lol 😂😂
@@sweethomealabama1369
This recipe sounds so crazy, but I REALLY want to taste it! 😋
Dang it, another trip to the market...
@@heidid5275 it is wonderful you will love it friend ♥️
Miss Paula, I looked up the question about the caffeine...apparently the "Mountain Dew" acts like a sugar during baking, BUT DURING THE COOKING/BAKING PROCESS ,CAFFEINE STAYS IN THE FOOD . The nurse/chemistry geek in me had to look it up lol. Btw,we have some Wonderful Apple & pumpkin etc orchards here in NJ.
If you'd like, let me know & I can send you the names & info. There's one Orchard my Hubby has been going to since he was a toddler & his Dad & Grandparents before him. We've taken our children there as well since they were babies (adults now) They did sell off part of the Farm. It still a good size Orchard.
🍏Hugs to you ,Anita🍎
Please get Bobby to make this recipe with less calories. Fun!!
I was just going to post the exact same!
@@sharonneely9433 I just saw another version. Each individual croissant had brown sugar, apple slice and a pat of cream cheese. They poured apple juice over all of the croissants.
Jeanne Shannon, thank you so much!! 💓
@@sharonneely9433 you are welcome
Yes please!
I call this "Apple Dumplings". My cousin gave me this recipe at a family reunion, by the way. I add Sprite in with my mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and butter instead of Mt. Dew. Stirred all together, then poured over apple-wrapped crescent rolls, baked, so good!
Absolutely one of my favorites, Paula!! I even took it up a notch and made a rum sauce with toasted pecans one Thanksgiving ,that I put on the side. Boy!! Lip smacking and butt slapping good!! But,so rich its really a once or twice a year thing.😉 Love ya,Paula!!
You’d never catch Ina making this. Got to love Paula. 💜
Love you Paula! I look forward to your videos everyday. I watch you and it reminds me of my late Grandmother who loved to cook and showed her love with her cooking. When I eat at your restaurants it’s the closest to my Grandmothers cooking I’ve had and just brings a smile to my face. Keep doing these and thank you for sharing!
"'fresh cream if yáll on a diet" bwahahaha
I just feel everybody loves dessert. I would be back for seconds, thirds , fourths.
I mix mountains dew with pancake mix makes them more f fluffy
Making this tonight. Looks so delicious and Add mountain dew, yes please! Sign me up. Thank you for so many amazing dishes.
Let me tell ya'll....I have been making this exact recipe for YEARS and it's absolutely delicious! No, it's not healthy but you don't eat it everyday. This is a special occasion treat. Serve warm with homemade vanilla ice cream. ......to DIE for!
I just fixed this tonight. It is delicious. Thanks for sharing and Have a Blessed Day.
We called this Apple Dumplings but either way it is good.
Good morning Paula ❤️ When I was in occupational therapy, my group made these. They were delicious 😋. I didn’t need this type of therapy but the joy of cooking with others was the best.
Paula: I watch you from Sinaloa Mexico. I retired and moved down here. When I was younger I relied on your recipes as a young wife and mother. The channels down here don’t have your show re-runs and I wanted to make your recipes for my grandson. Ever since I saw these I just flipped with excitement. Now I watch them with my 6yr old grandson and we make your recipes. Thank you because they your show my grandson and I have fun activities to bond with. Sending you spicy best dishes and love from Mexico. I’ll keep looking for your books down here🥰
Good morning and happy Saturday Ms Paula!!!! 👋🏽❤️❤️❤️
Good morning have a wonderful day my friend ♥️
@@sweethomealabama1369 Heeeeyyyyy¡!!!👋🏽 You have a good day too!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
GM U all have a very Blessed DAY. God-bless) stay safe😷
Yumm. My husband loves Mountain Dew!!!
This is the best cobbler I’ve ever tasted Paula
Love you Paula , cant wait to try this Mountain Dew Apple Cobbler ! YUMMM YUMMM !
Me either, no mountain dew for me. I don't drink a lot of soft drinks, but I've started drinking those fruit flavored seltzer waters that have no sugar. I'd say that would be a better alternative to use.
That's some very seasoned, educated guessing.
Twenty years ago I was blessed with a peach cobbler recipe from a true Louisianna southern lady, and it calls for part of a can of 7-Up or Sprite. Makes a sweet sticky top.
Love, love, love your videos. You have no idea how many times I've watched em. They HAVE helped me get through this virus nonsense. Love you keep em comin
We've been making this for years and serve it regularly to our local Bingo players (well we did before CoVid). It's amazing!
Glad Paula mentioned making this recipe with pears. Half pears, half apples would be good too. My grandmother would always use pears instead of apples in pie recipes, and my Mom and I often did the same.
I've made this several times. Always a big hit.
My family loves this! We call it Apple dumplings! So good with ice cream when they are hot! ❤️
I made Paula's peach cobbler but I used plums in place of peaches. The plum cobbler was better than any peach cobbler I've ever had -- and I LOVE peach cobbler.
Eddie is such a blessing for you Paula. Glad he’s part of you’re team. Love listening to him.
Mrs.Paula we have an apple orchard in Ellijay Georgia come visit
Love the Apple Barn near Ellijay, Georgia. I had to evacuate from Charleston during hurricane season for 4 years between 2016-19, and I stayed with my cousin in North Georgia. We'd head over to Ellijay during my stay. I always stocked up on sourwood honey from the Apple Barn.
I sure hope you made your mouth happy and ate the other half of the dumpling : ) This recipe looks like it would be an awesome church supper dessert! TY!
I’ve Never heard of this!! Looks delicious ❤️🥰
I made this today for Halloween dessert for my friends. My husband was like nope I’m not trying this and let me tell you everyone loved it. Thank you Paula for this. This was so amazing!
I have made these a few times now. Never any left, but they are addicting. With it being so easy to make, i was making them too often. Thank you this delicious recipe to add to my go to desserts. Love from Delaware
I have never heard of Mountain Dew Apple Cobbler. It looks terrific!
It's Apple season in the North Carolina mountains. We have been enjoying some good ones!
Yum 😋 looks scrumptious!
Thank you for sharing ❤
Miss Paula, my recipe calls for you to microwave the apple slices for 2 minutes to soften the apples up a little bit. My recipe calls them Apple Dumplings, it's the same recipe as your apple cobbler....it is so good, but I rarely make them because they are loaded with calories.
Hi Ms. Paula. We love you.
This was too funny watching you make this! We've been making it in North Carolina for years but we call it fruit dumplings , not cobbler. And we make it with 111, 1 cup sugar 1 cup butter 1 cup water same outcome. I did see the Mountain Dew recipe at some point and I used Diet Mountain Dew couldn't tell any difference in flavor. Now if you want something really good buy canned yams and roll those up. I've used every fruit there is but yams are my favorite! I've also made three pans of these then put them in a crock-pot on warm to take to company lunch.
I have never had Mountain Dew apple cobbler. It's a recipe I will try definitely. Thanks Paula
I'm one of those that never heard of it. Thanks for sharing🍏🍎
I made a variation of this using 7up...just pour over melted butter, then sprinkle with a sugar/cinnamon mixture..then pour the 7up around the edges of the dish...It was really tasty too...Thanks for sharing your version😋
I have made this many times. The smell during baking is simply amazing. I prefer to use apple quarters over eighths, and I like sprite over mountain dew. Pretty sure if your home was on the market, the smell of this baking would get you an offer! Lol
Paula: “Mountain Dew will jack you up” LOL! 🤣
The "jackup" "cooks out" of it.😜🤣
I’ve never heard of this! I can’t wait to try this! I truly enjoy & love these videos! In my opinion the longer the videos are the better! With all that’s been going on in the world, this is truly the BEST way to escape! I also must say I love hearing all her stories as well! Thank you @PaulaDeen for all the AMAZING recipes you share with us! Love & hugs Paula! ♥️😘🍎!!
This is EXACTLY what we need!
I am so glad I got this recipe again, my phone died and my recipes, my texts, and photos didn’t transfer
I was missing Paula there for a while, thank God for the quarantine because she’s back
Good Evening Miss Paula ... from Australia 🤗🇦🇺
I haven't made this cobbler BUT I have used Mt. Dew in the past when I was making apple pies and I didn't have any lemon juice in the house to keep the apples from turning brown.
Paula, I've been watching you for many, many years and have thoroughly enjoyed it! Please tell Teresa and Eddie that I also enjoy their comments and I am sure you enjoy their help!
I made these when we had big family gatherings, inexpensive to double or triple the recipe. We call them country apple dumplings! They are addictive🍎
I’ve never heard of it, I need this for thanksgiving dinner I’m cooking this year.
I have made this several times!! I did cut the sugar and butter.after the first time I made it. It is sooooo good!!!
It’s looks great just can’t have the sugar anymore!!!You come u with great recipes!!!❤️
@Annett Armstrong --- Try making this with Splenda or Equal Granulated Sugar Substitute (not the packets of sweetener, but the actual granulated sugar substitute that has a 1:1 ratio, 1 cup granulated substitute = 1 cup regular granulated sugar, generally). You can also use diet mountain dew to cut out the sugar there too. Just watch your cooking time as with the granulated sugar substitutes, generally your baking time reduces a bit as it will cook a little faster than regular sugar. I've used the Equal Sugar Substitute to make Lemon Meringue Pies and no one could tell that they didn't have regular sugar. 😊
Miss Paula Deen I'm so glad I came upon the recipe cuz I'm the one person never heard of it and I can't wait to make it and eat it stay wonderful 💕
I have to try this in thanksgiving. It looks wonderfully, sinfully delicious!
I have a large extended family and this would be a great recipe for our gathering!! Thanks.
You can sprinkle the tops with cinnamon and sugar is amazing too
Will have to try this, never heard of it.....thanks Paula
For those who wonder about who Eddie is there’s a video of him and Paula online. The best Assistant ever.
yummy two thumbs up from Texas! Gives me ideas to put almost anything in crescent rolls and go wild! No end to all the different things we could make! LOOK OUT! Thank you for the crescent roll recipe! xoxo Happy trails to you!
A serving size is ever how much you want .LoL
