I have the collapsible spike anchor and only reason is that I use it with my kayak and canoe too, I keep anchor and pretty much everything at the back as that where the trolling motor is and I sit.
Another helpful video… especially for those first time transporting. Those are awesome trucks… Now some may disagree with me, but I anchor from the front. My setup is 10’ Pond Prowler, 2 hp Johnson gas outboard on the back with battery in the molded location. 55lb Minkota at the nose. Works for me. Good luck fishing and keep them hooks wet.👍
I have the field & stream pond prowler pretty much same boat I love not needing a trailer but these boat can be heavy and clumsy for one person to load especially if your 65 + . I have a winch and 2x4 cheap ramps work great loading.
I would say anchor from the front and you'll be amazed how much having a rudder attached to your trolling motor will help. It will definitely help with the wind conditions. 👍🏾
You will find you want two anchors. These boats, in the wind, will tend to move side to side when using one anchor. One in the back and one in the front will keep your boat on position. Good fishing!
I actually bought this same one 2 weeks ago the water I go to is kinda shallow so I’m getting 2 of the anchor sticks for shallow water .. without anchor notice boat zig zag while drifting so definitely anchor both sides would be best in my opinion
@@FFTB804 I honestly love it is a good purchase , isn’t too heavy because I don’t have a pick up truck yet I have a big suv and I throw it on my roof racks the only thing I think I need to seal the union were it connects top from bottom because when I washed it noticed water stayed on the weather sealer ,the scupper plugs I think need upgrade , I’m going to put Eva foam tiles on the floor instead with Velcro ,definitely a trailer isn’t needed
I'm about to order myself a 15lb one. These are the two items. Nice video. I am looking into to getting one. I kayak fish but man fighting the wind and rowing gets hard sometimes. Also paddling limits how much water I can cover. Also GO NINERS!!!
Thanks, brother, for the video.. that truck can transport anything. I believe an anchor would be better in the back because that's where you're sitting.. anchor in the front and back would work the best..
Keep the videos coming love the hoody 💪🏿❤️
Thanks, it's 49ers until I die!!!!

Understandable, I'll give the back a try too.

I feel the same way!!!! I'm thinking about getting a trailer. It’ll make a quick drop-in and pull-out.
@@FFTB804 I saw another fellow angler his trailer looks like from a jet ski and fixed to fit his boat (pelican 10e )
I was hoping you would show it loaded up how about a unload I'm 64 wondering if I can handle this by myself. Thank You
Just ordered my anchor this morning and didn't know what size but I ordered a 18lb anchor

Did you have to register it with just putting a trolling motor on it
Nope!!! I just wanted it registered
