Greetings! I think if you watch my video How I Plan My Travel To Mt. Athos, I list the bus numbers that you take to get you to Ouranoupoli (where you take a ferry to Mt. Athos) from the airport. I can't remember them off the top of my head right now. Be well ~Jurgis
@@wedi-set577 Sorry about that. I took a bus from the airport (there are buses from both major airports)to a village in the Essex area. I was going to take a local bus the rest of the way, the stop is near the post office/ grocer. However, I flew on New Year’s Day and the local buses were not running, so I was forced to pay an outrageous amount by taxi to go the 3 miles or so to the monastery. I spoke to the guestmaster after my arrival and he set me up with a car service that brought me back to the airport. If you have time and want to save money ( provided it’s not a holiday ) take the bus. I think the monastery website has bus info, and if you want the car service also ask the guestmaster for this info. Hope this helps. Be well! Jurgis
Thank you! I keep hearing “Keep going” in so many ways.
Wonderful. I recently visited the Essex Monastery and it was an blessed experience.
Yes, it is a wonderful and blessed place to visit.
Glory to God!
God bless you for this encouragement
Thank you. May God bless!
Does Elder Zacharias live there?
Yes, that is who I encountered. Glory to God!
I would really like to meet that man. I was recommended his readings!@@OrthodoxGardener
How would you recommend travelling to the Monastery from the airport?
