Love the video! The only thing it really needs is the ability for the address for the map to be set to a location the user types in. For example, listings for holidays in the UK wouldn't be effective if they were relative to the user's current position, however, they might want to visit a certain county/ country within the UK. In terms of a radius filter, it would be great but can get around for now by having a really big radius and loading everything. Not the most ideal I know but it's a workaround.
Can you use geolocation first, and allow the user to override it with a different filter? For example, it defaults to where they're at (Budapest), but they can select Poland from a dropdown and see that instead.
Great tut. But, is there an option for the user to choose the distance radius and the desired location? Let's say in a real estate website I need to find properties in the location I want within a radius of 2 km because there is a great school for my kids. That feature would be a game changer on map listings. Or to display the properties where the map is centered as we drag it.
thank you for the suggestion, but this option is not available at this time. But you are welcome to vote for the feature: github.com/Crocoblock/suggestions/issues/1657
hello, I'm using the map listing in a post type, and I would like it to show me the other establishments around it through the radius, I've been trying for a long time and I can't, thank you very much for the help
Another option would to show the approximate location. Meaning giving you the option hide your full address and show the approximate distance to your location. Like in Airbnb. You see the approximate. Just in case the user doesn't want to display it all based on what service they offer.
You can add a listing grid widget next to the Map listing. Take a look at the listing settings and find these two options: prnt.sc/MBNblKojaxze It means that when you click on the listing item, the map will open the popup with the listing to hightlight the selected post.
Hello! Number of posts is controlled in this field: prnt.sc/97pjzVnXzZDN If you enabled the custom query option for the Map listing prnt.sc/D4nhl4GWGaFv then set the number of posts in Query Builder Pagination tab: prnt.sc/0WJ5LfQiUiKj
I have 3 PostType as each is a service, 3 ListGrid and the 3 are displayed in Home. When I use SmartFilter Select to choose the City and it shows the services of the 3 Lists compatible with the chosen city.... The following error occurs: ❌ Duplicate and Mirror in the other Listings, the FIRST LISTING ON THE SITE❌ Example: List 1 Luxury Cars List 2 Motorcycles List 3 Boats When I use the "City1" filter, it's to show the registered City1 from vada List (in your own list). But as the First is the "Luxury Car", the 3 show Luxury Cars, and if I reverse the order, the List that stays for First replicates in the others. How do you solve? help me please.
Awesome! You can modify the maximum map points by yourself. Here is the solution: gist.github.com/kaskad88/eae2edbe37cb36e151b0d7a5a28c6aa9#file-jet-engine-maps-listing
@@GrahamBrownVirtualTours Hi, the video you are looking for is called: "How to set up Maps Listings Module | JetEngine and JetSmartFilters plugins" and it's on the crocoblock channel.
it's all fancy until you realize that jetengine can't give the website user the approximate distance between the source point and the destination point.
Most of our clients are using Elementor ;) So, we'll continue filming both Elementor and Gutenberg. And hope to prepare several tutorials based on Bricks in future too.
what about radius distance filter (range) that the user can choose to show properties?
This video really helped, especially the smart filter part. Thanks bro

Superb tutorial
Hi thanks for this useful tutorial. Any way to make the distance dynamic so that it can be entered by the user?

I want to create an area coverage map based on a certain coordinate point for example 2 miles away from x pos. Is this tool capable of doing that?

very powerful!
By the way! thanks for making your browser smaller to better see the steps you do in the configuration. 😉
Is there a way to list those items in detail below the map?

Hi. Seems very useful. Is your demo site online ?
We are afraid, but the demo isn't live.
Is there any way to show the distance on each Listing Item map?

Great. I wish you didn't need to pin the location manually and have it it automatically pin it based on the full address or location.
you can do that. It can set the pins according to a set Field filled with the human readable adress
