DÍA DE LA HISPANIDAD: MARIO VARGAS LLOSA Y KARINA SAINZ BORGO EN 'MOYANO KM0 DE LOS LIBROS'

En anticipo del Día de la Hispanidad 2022, la Asociación ciudadana Soy de la Cuesta, que trabaja en la revitalización de la emblemática Feria de libros permanente de Madrid conocida por la 'Cuesta de Moyano', estrena, en colaboración con la consejería de Cultura, Turismo y Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid y Casa de América, el audiovisual MOYANO KM0 DE LOS LIBROS, protagonizado por el escritor y Premio Nobel de Literatura, D. Mario Vargas Llosa, junto a la escritora y periodista venezolana Karina Sainz Borgo.
Partiendo de Casa de América, que este año celebra su 30 aniversario, y con quien el escritor peruano guarda una estrecha relación desde hace décadas, ambos escritores afincados en la capital española hablan sobre recuerdos, obra y literatura en un paseo por la ciudad y en homenaje a la Cuesta de Moyano, donde el autor de 'La ciudad y los perros' pasaba innumerables horas como estudiante buscando obras de sus autores favoritos.
'MOYANO KM.0 DE LOS LIBROS' es una idea original del escritor y periodista Antonio Lucas que traslada a formato audiovisual la Asociación Soy de la Cuesta. Con el fin de celebrar el Día de la Hispanidad, esta temporada 2022/23 se centra en autores hispanoamericanos residentes en Madrid.
In anticipation of Hispanic Heritage Day 2022, the Citizen Association Soy de la Cuesta, which works to revitalize Madrid's emblematic permanent book fair known as 'Cuesta de Moyano', presents, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Community of Madrid and Casa de América, the audiovisual MOYANO KM0 DE LOS LIBROS, starring the writer and Nobel Prize for Literature, Mr. Mario Vargas Llosa, together with the Venezuelan writer and journalist Karina Sainz Borgo.
Starting from Casa de América, which this year celebrates its 30th anniversary, and with whom the Peruvian writer has had a close relationship for decades, both writers based in the Spanish capital talk about memories, works and literature on a walk through the city and in tribute to the Cuesta de Moyano, where the author of 'The city and the dogs' spent countless hours as a student looking for works by his favorite authors.
'MOYANO KM.0 DE LOS LIBROS' is an original idea by the writer and journalist Antonio Lucas who translates the Soy de la Cuesta Association into an audiovisual format. In order to celebrate Hispanic Day, this season 2022 focuses on Hispanic-American authors residing in Madrid.

MOYANO KM0 DE LOS LIBROS is part of the #MadridSubelaCuesta 2022 action plan that the Association Soy de la Cuesta carries out thanks to the support of the Area of ​​Culture, Tourism and Sports of the Madrid City Council. This plan provides events and actions in the digital field to attract new and old audiences to the Cuesta de Moyano, thus contributing to the reactivation of its commercial activity - after the health crisis that began in 2020 - and in anticipation of the centenary of its location in C / Claudio Moyano in 2025.
