- In this video, I'll show you how to get Gran Turismo 3 or 4 working on your PC with your wheel and pedals. In addition I'll help you optimize the game to get the best visual quality. This should work with any wheel or pedal, but if you have any issues, please leave a comment!

Yes! Use LilyPad to configure your pedals as an Axis. Works great. I use Throttle to X and Brake to Square

Thrustmaster TX it keeps turning left if you turn ffb on even in low levels...
If anyone's having trouble with the wheel zigzagging when letting your hands off of the wheel, make sure not to mess with the degrees of rotation in the Qemu settings. Only go by the degrees of rotation in the app that came with your wheel. This was driving me insane.

@@LubieStareGry I have a G29. If I remember correctly, there's a better alternative for the DFGT, but it was a few years back. It was a special script just for DFGT users. Had accurate FFB and everything

thanks for taking the time to make the video mate, set up works good for me although Ive done it for Sega Rally 2006 not GT4, the steering is still very twitchy but at least I know ive done nothing wrong as Ive set it up same way as you. I have a logitech G29, the software isnt as good as before imo. less options for tweaking settings on the wheel.

I just followed the instructions and mucked about a bit in the usb wheel settings with different configs
Map the pedals to right stick up and down
X and Square were on/off but right stick up and down were gradual
The PS2 has pressure sensitive buttons no?

I know ps3 triggers are but I dont think ps2 does

🔴 Are GT4 3-screen and 5-screen wraparound via ethernet LAN connectivity or possibly Wi-Fi still supported? If so, safe to assume LAN multiplayer, too?
🔴 Is GT3 system iLink battle and multiple screens per driver supported via some kind of s400 / 4-pin Firewire emulation/workaround?
it works toally perfect when i race in arcade, but in gt mode my pedals arent working. when i bind my pedals to other stuff like you said in a comment (cross : throttle, square: brake) i can only switch between slider, slider + and slider - in lilypad options. not axis. pls help

Im hapy with my fps now,but ntsc or usa iso s are more stable?
I can't make it work for some reason, I use an xbox 360 controller to navigate the menus, but the game only recognizes my inputs trough the controller, and only the force feedback comes trough the wheel when I move the analog stick in the controller. Any suggestions?

Im using this settings and it works,but pedals are a bit agressive for me,throttle and brake specially is so sensible,is there any easy fix for this ? I'm on G29,and my throttle and brake are Y axis when i try to set throttle to cross and brake on square it replace each other?And what sensitivity should be when I set to axis cross/square.Thanks :)
Hi, I've been able to set up my Thrustmaster T80 up correctly however the steering is incredibly twitchy and I'm not sure why, everything else is fine just the steering, I'm not sure if its the wheel itself having a really low degrees of rotation or if I didn't set it up correctly. So any help with that would be appreciated until then Imma go mess about with dead-zones to see if that helps.
I did everything just like in the video but for whatever reason ingame my car automatically goes into reverse and steers into one direction which makes it impossible to play...i have this issue no matter what i use...gamepad, wheel or keyboard..
I followed all the steps and its not detecting my wheel for some reason, its a G29, can you help me out?
Edit: Nevermind, just found out that you have to reset the emulator and start a game normally, not with a savestate
Now Im trying to calibrate my pedals since the acceletator is way too short, can you help me out with that?

I doubt anyone is watching this but I’m having an issue with my tmx pro where when I hit the brakes it goes in to reverse even in Manuel and I can’t get out of reverse
So just booting up GT3 will work the same? Or there are some differences?

I tried this method, but it just won't seem to let me use the USB configuration and Controller Configuration at the same time. For example If start a game up and begin to use the buttons on the wheel to navigate through the menus, it seems to disable my wheel and pedals, and vice versa.
Basically it seems that there is interference between lily pad, and qemu causing them not work together. If you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it a ton.
One of the things I can recommend is to configure your pedals with lilypad instead of qemu. I did this and got better resolution out of my pedals. Might fix your issue. You will still need to use qemu for your wheel axis.

When I click on USB - 'plugin settings' I get a message saying "this space has been intentionally left blank"... any help with that? I've had my emulator up and running for a while but just got the wheel now
The QEmu Option is an Plugin which you have to install take a look into the Discribtion
This is a little late of a reply. I had the same problem, fixed it like this.
While in the menu you go to; Config -> Plugin/BIOS selector -> Select the plugin for the USB.
Hope this helps someone out.

hey I've set everything up with my Thrustmaster wheel and all the buttons are working fine in game, but my steering and pedals aren't responding at all, any idea why?
UPDATE: figured out my issue, i was playing gt3 and that game only supports the generic driving force, but im still having issues with the pedals, i cant seem to set them to anytning

Hi mate! Great video. Im having a hard time setting this up. After i set the 900 degrees rotation the game isnt recongnizing any steering. All the other commnads and buttons works perfectly. Any sugestions?

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone is experiencing automatic brake while using Logitech Driving Force GT? everytime i turn my brakes will launch for a milisecond lol. Although its very annoying
My pad controls seems to be not working, I have tested the wheel and stuff in the configs and they are responsive but when I start the game I can't press X or O to get into the menus. Any solutions?

So i have tried it with my G920 but i get hard left right wobble all time i want to go straight. Where can i set my FFB sensitivity or sth like that? Logitech apps dont allow adjusting of it nor the emulation settings.. But ppl talk about FFB settings...I cant find them anywhere..

This plugin doesn't detect pedals well at all, there's a massive deadzone of like 1/3 of the pedals where it doesn't register anything, it's unplayable for me, feels like 0 and 1 in the end, no point in playing analogue might as well use the keyboard for gas and brake.
my wheel is a sidewinder Microsoft force feedback, a little bit old, but still gonna work?

Can you use Raw Input Mode in usb qemu? I find that dinput mode have strange ffb effects.

Just wanted to let you know that they revamped their entire site a while ago, and your download links for both the PCSX2 software itself and the plugin is broken.
The software is still installed via their site no problem, but there's no USB Qemu option to be found anymore.
- edit: The USB Qemu is pretty much integrated into the PSCX2 software, which is why it isn't available as plugin anymore.
(This is 2024, so like 7 yrs later, so it makes some sense. Just wanted to let my fellow "late to the party" folk know)
I don't get the "video output" option you're getting inside the game at around minute 21. Any help?
You don't see "Progressive 480p"? My only thought would be that you have a version of the game that does not support that output? Maybe try "obtaining" a NTSC version. Hope that helps, bud.

How do you set the paddals for gear up and down

Was anyone able to get their force feedback working? I haven't been able to find an answer for this yet. The game just has no ffb through my fanatec, and I'm trying to get this sorted out.

@@Scorpion-tu8qx I think the reason I had issue's like this was because the version of Qemu I'd downloaded was old/busted. Maybe try finding another link?

Do you know how to fix an issue of my throttle being on when I'm off throttle?
If you're using lilypad you gotta change "throttle" to "throttle -". It'll invert it so that it won't be on all the time.

You need to select the plugin on the plugin/BIOS Selector first
