Lies Lay Cold is my favorite song too, however I'm still thinking can it really do something on Eurovision. As whole package it's the best, but I think something like Juzina is safe bet for entering the final. Several songs like AaAaA, Poison Cake and Lelek are modifiable for something bigger as they've got both vocals and rhytm, but in current versions they aren't good enough. AaAaA should make "bigger" chorus, Poison Cake should have great show for viewers and Lelek should sing their song in Croatian.
I'm from Croatia and I absolutely love Ananda, it's an addictive song, and I listen to it on daily basis (and I plan to vote for it if it has decent staging), but I think general public in Croatia will pick either Poison Cake or Ogenj Daj, Daj. The hype in Croatia for these two is pretty big. Of course, staging will determine a winner. Thanks for your analysis, I do agree with it more or less, except for Running to the Light ( I would put it in the Not quite there category).
I also loooove ANANDA and I think she should win Dora 25. M. Bošnjak - Poison Cake is, I admit, interesting, but chaotic, Ogenj is also interesting in his way, but it is too repetitive in the chorus with Daj daj daj
I agree with you and I like the placement of songs in 4 categories. Soooo these are my favorite songs that should win at Dora 25 1st and the biggest potential is ANANDA - Lies lay cold ... love it❤ ... video, vocal, story 👍or 2nd would be LELEK - The Soul of my Soul (visually hm, I think they can do much better and for the live act they need to think about how they will present themselves if they win at Dora25). They talk a lot about Marko Bošnjak with the song Poison Cake ... interesting, but the song mixes too many genres, which makes the song chaotic Manny songs are good just not to good to make woow in general. And vocals are also good in most of the songs. But Ananda gets the most points from me.
Video for Running to the light is really "local funny thing". I can't take serioisly the song with such a video. And it is very similar to the Sand from the last year issue. My vote goes to Ogenj, I listen their song and their other songs. Thanks to Eurovision now I know them.
More or less a pretty solid analysis. I'd only disagree on Lelek (Tbh it just feels like Iru 2.0, the lyrics are abysmal + Croatia has a history of having these folk-ish ballads in dora without having any ideas of how so stage them) and Running to the Light (I can see where you're coming from but for it to actually belong in this rank the song would need to be completely revamped by a professional producer, right now it just feels... dated.) My personal winner is Poison Cake. The song is a banger, plus we know that Marko can sing as he ended 2nd in Dora 2022 and i think that i read somewhere that the person who made Bambie Thug's staging is involved with this. However, i need to note that i very much enjoyed this year's Dora. I guess that you will disagree with this, but i like when countries have NFs with many varied songs without even necessary trying to claim every one of then would be a good fit for ESC. Plus, a lot of these songs feel like they were written with passion by the artists themselves and not just "bought from Sweden" such as NFs like MESC or LSC did this year (MESC is good though, i'm not trying to say that this method doesn't work, just that if you run it into the extreme you will end up with NFs such as modern Melfest, where the absolute majority of the songs sound the same due to the Swedes just spamming the same proven formula)
I actually agree with you, I just wish for more international acclaim, especially outside of eurovision bubble. But the selection is rly good from this perspective! especially if we put it in some long term context!
Marko Bošnjak will most likely be the choice of the national and international jury. The director of his performance is the director of Bambia Thug's performance. He has a great vocal. Another option is Ogenj. The audience will vote for them. As for other performers. Mostly the audience's votes will be diluted. The jury will decide who we send.Something is cooking on DORA. At least it won't be boring.🤭
@@JanBors The song is better than Bambi's song. This is how it should sound and look like a song from the "Bambi" musical genre. This song is very difficult to sing in a still position, let alone in motion. Marko is an exceptional vocalist. His live performance must be 110% better than Bambi's. Croatia will send what is best for Croatia whether we like it or not. This year we have to be pragmatic. One is Baby Lasagna. It is difficult to reach him.

It will be Magazin or maybe Lelek for the win❤

O relevantnosti i "dobrim namjerama" "komentatora":
koliko se sjecam, njemu prije godinu dana favorit na Dori nije bio ni BL s Rim Tim Tagi Dim 🙄

Excellent example of why some jury members make surprising rankings. The Benidorm jury is taking notes.
Ogenj daj daj best 🔥👌
No, Lelek, the only logical choice
Ogenj
you basiclly pucked 2 songs as your favorites that will surly not make it to the finals of Dora 😅😅😅😂😅😂
thats not my problem :)
