"Crystal Eyes" is the latest single to be released for this four-piece, Adelaide-based Heavy Melodic Metalcore outfit. Following on from their debut EP Essence released back in September 2019, the band continues to further push their sound with undercurrents of dark electronica, heavy guitar riffs, heart racing drums and deeply felt emotional lyrics. Vocalist Luke seems to embody a greater range of vocal styles on this track from uplifting cleans to unnerving growls, passionate roars and intensely direct freestyle. The music video directed by Billy Bourne and Sam Trott dabbles in a lot of slow-motion effects, strobe lighting against a grainy dark red background and blending with shades of blue and purple. It's a simple band performance video which effectively uses body language to reflect deeply buried emotions such as guilt, hurt and anger. If this song is anything to go by, Heartline are showing signs of promise and bigger opportunities going into 2020.
I feel like the dark / ravey undertones and Gravemind -like breakdowns could be pushed further to make something truly massive. This is pretty dope though. I'll be watching these guys...
i kind of hate that snare tho.. 0:38 know what i mean? feels like a kid is hitting my head with a bat repeatedly to annoy the crap out of me... other than that? pretty good! as others say, you can feel that northlane/thornhill vibe there
The fill or the quavers through the verse? I love both to be honest. The fill adds movement and the quavers keep the power through till a breakdown-style chorus.
DUDES!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!
ADELAIDE BOYS!!!
Thornhill vibes 💕
No sabía que Rubén del canal de RUclips Lethal Crisis tenía una banda de metal. 😅😬🤣
Excelente canción. 😎

Ironic because the drummer is actually currently undertaking a degree in jazz performance! The bloke absolutely shreds
