Your shop with the fog effect isn’t a pop up. I have tried to do that fog effect and it is incredibly time consuming because each layer requires an air layer between them. And it is even worse that if you don’t have a silk touch pickaxe.
In cubfan most recent video. He said that a proper shop should take at least 30 minutes to build.
Figure out how long it took you and do this:
Leave a book saying: This shop took __ minutes to build. By your boss statement it is enough to qualify as a proper shop. If I find it gone I’ll see you in court for trial. And I will be asking skizzleman for help. You touch this shop and you will have already lost.

Yeah, I think this is the shop that isn't a pop up shop, so you can probably sue them, forcing them to not destroy it till later.
if he would watch other creators he'd know they just want it to be a real shape(preferably elytra shaped). if i was on server and saw this vid, id go light the tnt and leave a sign saying goodluck, we want a full building now

100% Agree that definitely counts as a proper shop. Same with Pearl's vehicle shops and perhaps Stressmonster's mud hut. Why would they need a ridiculously detailed build for a shop that only sells bone or mud, makes little sense. Down with the Poe-Poe! Vive la résistance!

Both Skizz and Scar have been overjoyed by being in death loops on multiple occasions this season. Calling them out for their overzealous behavior is more likely to persuade them to back off than threatening them with a good time. That said, the content will be fun.

The whole interaction between Joe, Cub, and Jev talking while Scar is trying to fly-by shoot them is like watching three adults allow a kid to run around shooting a water gun at them until they mess up

I beg to differ. Grian, of all people, could start a resistance against himself. However, I'm getting impatient, and I'm interested to see what Jev comes up with.
The revolution is inevitable in Hermitcraft 😂 But I agree with you, Jev, they did you dirty when they classified your shop as a pop-up.
Scar and Skizz actually weren't sure if Jevin's shop counts as a pop-up shop and basically put the pink slip there out of indecisiveness.
I personally think the worst part is there's seemingly no guidelines on what's a pop-up and what's not, meaning any shop with an open design or one that's just simple in nature can be flagged as a pop-up, even if it's clearly not just a few blocks set in place to establish a quick place to sell stuff.
It means nobody has any idea if their shop is a pop-up unless it's extremely obvious (and even by then, they obviously intend not to have a pop-up), so they'll basically have no idea if their shop does or doesn't meet the criteria until they get flagged for it. It kinda sucks to see, honestly.

Pearl also has a bone “pop up” shop, which is like an overly detailed bone bus. According to Scar and Skiz a “real” shop means it has walls and a roof, which would make a lot of permanent shops pop ups, and that also means a lot of shops in previous seasons were so called “pop ups”. SUE THE POE POE!!!
Did they cite her Cat bus as well? This has got to stop somewhere. Regularly. Like a bus.
Allowing the enforcers themselves to define the thing they're enforcing doesn't tend to work out well, historically.

In their defense, I think Pearl herself called it a temporary pop up shop while building it.
Skizz's logic: Pearl's truck and Jevin's shop are pop ups, but the glass shops are not.

If you put the map art on an armour stand you can now make it huge and then you have a billboard.
Sadly, I don't think map art displays on armor stands 😔 I think it just shows the map in item form. That would have been so funny though!
Oh well, maybe it will work in a future update.
Just have to plaster the maps over the billboard next to the Poe hq...

Telling the plans for revolution in front of the de facto head of the regulatory agency (Cubb) is so funnt
Scar, (a poe) and Bdoubs (the judge) small t shop is a pop up but they did not pink slip it. Double stander
Only problem with elytra shop is walls and a roof...
They debated so much, and it was hard for them to mark it as pop up but because others would have complained about it, so they had to mark it, but they only said put walls and roof on it.
i think that reasoning is very silly though since wouldnt that make cubs horn shop in violation and the little dirt cave not? the effort in creating the shop should be the only thing that matters 😛

@@botanictea5388 I think Stress' Mud Shop was also considered as pop shop, even though her shop actually has wall and roofs.
I’m excited for the permit revolt because initially the idea of permits is nice but it left many hermits screwed with shops. If they do implement them again i think they should distribute them differently, and multiple of the same permits for iron and some gold tiers for there to be some shop competition and a higher chance to actually make diamonds from their shops.
The whole point of the permits was to not have multiple shops for the same item, and to encourage building proper individual shops. If you're gonna make multiple of the same permits, then just remove permits in the first place.
@@decomposedcorpse5186 well it wouldn’t be like a mass production of permits let’s say there were two of a gold tier permit and hermit A and hermit B both had it. Hermit A could buy the permit out from hermit B to prevent another shop and avoid competition. Multiple permits would allow the hermits to have a higher chance of creating a shop of their choosing. I’m not saying the permits are terrible but it may be easier to obtain diamonds through a shop of your choosing. No hate to u at all tho that’s why I originally liked the idea of permits.

No hate to you at all because i agreed with the idea of permits initially it was interesting. I’m not saying permits should be mass produced but if there were say 2 of a gold tier permit that Hermit A and Hermit B both had the there could be a chance that Hermit B buys the permit from Hermit A eliminating competition and maximizing their profits. I’m really for what ever happens and just excited for the season 10 revolt

Just saying that if anyone were to try a multiple permit system (not mass produced) it maybe be better. Let’s say there were two gold tier permits and both Hermit A and Hermit B obtained the permits (perhaps in a different way) and Hermit B decided to payout Hermit A to gain the other permit, eliminating their competition and maximizing their diamonds. No hate to you at all I agree with what you’re saying entirely. It was just a fun thought in my head to bring back the diversity of the shopping district with permits.

I haven't watched the full video, but you will definitely find an ally in Pearl. Her bone truck got struck as a pop up for the same technicality your shop was - lacking a fully closed interior where the goods are sold, despite being a high effort build that provides a net positive to the district's aesthetic.
The Wolves of Wool Street may also be your friend, as their "elongated pop up shop" is for a collective, meaning multiple permit holders are affected by that one ruling.

It sure seems like the POE POE didn't have a strict set of criteria for what constitutes a pop-up shop when marking things as such, so honestly who knows what is and isn't a pop-up shop? Maybe the giant hourglass is a pop up shop, or the death star (erm, I mean smiley face). We have no way to know!

i was thinking "good ol revolutionary jev" and then i thought "grian should be dragged into the resistance" but then i remembered that grian is part of the permit office. thankfully i just had an idea. get SPECIFICALLY fisherman grian to fight permit office grian. i feel that fisherman grian would be all for resisting against what is going on
also, the mail, my bet is on smallishbeans who likely sent it. he loves killing horses. he even recently made a statue of himself juggling horse heads and there are horse heads scattered all through his base

Reminder that the PoePoe has no actual binding power. Cub came after Grain, Grain gave the PoePoe mandate and he explicitly stated that the PoePoe has no actual power to enforce.
Both PoePoes agreed to that. They are bound by that with 4k video.
I love the way you start with a canopy and work down into the trees.
Also if you can't overthrow the permit office, I'd love to see a second lawless shopping district with corrosponding shenanigans. You could become a robber barron that builds trust and strength from partenering shop owners, to which you could rival the power of the permit offices.

You can always count on Jevin for the server's needs. Sometimes it's a fellow hermit needing something for a build, sometimes it's grinding for a community projects or big build. And sometimes it's starting a revolutionary resistance. 🙂
I love how you just did some "quick" map art just to add to the storyline! And here I thought Jev had said he usually find it a bit hard to get into the roleplaying bits and now, here is a start to a very promising storyline. It's so great to see how much all the hermits are evolving by leaps and bounds this season and taking queues from one another and just generally seem to have lots of fun with each other.
I also love how custom trees seem to spontaneously have become a big thing this season.
The forest looks great! Magical. If I were to offer one critique it's that it doesn't look natural. The canopy is too dense. In general, trees tend to not grow into each other that much, especially at that growth stage, and even when they do in spots, there's more air around the branches and the sky peeks through a bit. Where it doesn't you find dead branches.
Of course that only applies to natural forests. A magical or planted and sculpted one could be a different story altogether. Either way, great work on the forest! It looks enchanting.
I would just make it look a split in half end ship so its less one dimensional. Other idea maybe look like a end pillar with the light coming out of the floor, but that would be harder to get looking good.

I kind of like that the leaf color shifts slightly. It gives the whole things a subtle variation that has it feeling like they are the same kind of tree without being the *exact* same tree the whole way through.
I love Hermitcraft. Going from waging war and cursing the POE to making friendly deals with one of the offenders in a matter of seconds. 😂
Skizz argued with Scar that your elitra shop must have taken long to make and thus isn't a popup. But Scar insisted shops need a roof and walls.

You need to file with Judge BDubs for a temporary injunction preventing shutdown of your non-pop-up shop, then sue them and take it to court to determine whether or not they can legally remove it.

Absolutely obsessed with these trees Jev! The process in how you make them is so fun to watch, and they look so magical! Say no to the poe!
I kinda feel like in the middle of the ring of trees where you have just the packed mud you should make a fairy circle of mushrooms and flowers. Maybe do some sort of wind charge contraption to blast you into the sky like Cub or Doc has. You could even have some allys drifting around since it's supposed to be a magical forest and the ally look a lot like pixies.
If iJevin were truly an evil man, he'd stand on his shop with a bow and arrow, making threats and posturing, then let the Poe Poe ignite the TNT. But, you see, he'd also trap the TNT to set off a chain of TNT minecarts and End Crystals, maybe a drop trap with dispensers dropping more minecarts to take care of the totems and, you know, the gear when dropped.
If he were a vindictive man as well as evil, he'd set a few somilar surprises around other random TNT notice alters.
The additions are looking good! It’s perfect that you’re leading the resistance against the Poe Poe.

22:50 Hey jevin! Few days late but to make the Mace, you need the breeze rods and the heavy core. You can make it in your inventory crafting menu.
Just put it in the bottom left and then the core on the top right, should then make the mace

It's a small and simple thing, but I love those fallen logs! Like, I like what bdubs did in his forest too, but his felt... I dunno, overly complicated? Over-designed? Yours immediately sold me on "yeah that's a mossy fallen log" whereas his I had to kind of take it in a bit more. Neither one is bad of course, but I appreciate yours - keep up the great work!
Jev, you may have seen this already from someone else but in case you haven't, the ominous bottle levels, only differ in the amount of time you get for the ominous trial effect. Higher level more time
Love your forest and the development on your ideas about the theme. There's some really interesting cards from Brian Eno (the musician) that help induce thoughtful creativity. I think that one of them mentions taking a frustrating aspect of a performance or situation (maybe an error) and to emphasize it. The biome change is a great subject for this. Although it is frustrating to you, it could be an opportunity to invent block and palette distinctions between the two parts of the forest. It's Minecraft's way of asking you to be creative about the transition between and then separate sections of the forest split between the two colorways of the biomes. The subtlety of the change could make it something that you think only a very inquisitive visitor would notice, however when they do, those intentional differences make builds resonate with thoughtfulness.
