Thank you so much for this video!! I am about to start this method on my 9 month old whom has an amazing food drive but kinda does what she wants sometimes. You explained it perfectly for me! She absolutely needs to work for it and pay more attention to me to get it!! Great stuff!
How often do you train in existential food? Is it something to do occasionally or is it everyday meant to be like this as a permanent lifestyle? Will there ever be a time when you have have it mixed in? Like certain days are existential feeding only.
My dog is now on hour 36 of refusing everything ive offered him in exchange for his obedience that he KNOWS. I know he knows. He's not being starved, he is refusing to work**. I know he won't starve himself & hes not an overweight dog, but I really didn't think we'd enter day 3 of this standoff we're having. 2 days, maybe. Not 3. He will work for a walk. He won't work for his calories. He refuses, turns his head, walks away, gets in his kennel. I'm holding out. Im not asking him to do anything he doesn't know how to do, I believe he thinks meals are supposed to be free. If he wants to hold out for a week, ill wait him out. Your thoughts?

No, thank you for the content.
How does this work with dogs that are at day care and gets feed out of a bowl there ?
Tell the daycare no food?? If they won't honor your request stop taking him to that daycare.
can we do this with pre made raw? i feed 2 meals a day as is now
Absolutely we have some clients that use it frozen and cut it up into small manageable pieces for training
@@grassroots.k9 thats a good idea thanks!
@@grassroots.k9 isn't frozen (let's say) pieces of meat bad for dogs' stomachs?
@@whatoneneedselm203 Plenty of people it without any issue, and some dogs actually prefer it to thawed.
