    Great video. I just purchased this coffee maker. My husband and I do not have time try repair this later on. I have had a regular coffee maker for awhile. No problems. It is going back to store.

    Have to say, thanks for the heads up of the 4 screws inside and that the sides just snap off. Made my life and repair a whole lot easier. I ended up replacing all 4 spring clamps with small heater hose clamps (from any automotive store). Highly recommend using the screw down clamps. Not too tight (plastic will break) but tight enough so the hose won't fall off again. Replaced all 4 on the carafe side, just in case :)

    Fantastic! I have one of these, same exact thing happened to me. I imagine they had a problem during automated manufacturing of these things, when putting the hose on initially. This is an easy fix, and I will do this tomorrow. Thanks Mr. Medina, appreciate the help!

      Awesome. I couldn't take the sides off (with ease) without removing bottom. Plus it is best to also check hose at the bottom.

    My screws seem like they aren’t for a typical screwdriver on the bottom. How do I get that off?

    • @WilliamMedina
      @WilliamMedina  4 года назад +1

      I believe I mention it in video, but screws are specialized. I used my flat head screwdriver at an angle ( it took some effort), but i got them out. This is why some videos suggest that you cut a hole in the back. But as you can see, you can remove it.

    • @pb4495
      @pb4495 3 года назад +3

      Can buy a specialized screwdriver kit at harbor frieght or amazon (these are 3-sided on the bottom of the Hamilton Beach).

    The bottom still needs to be taken off. The side panels are way too brittle to pull them off on their own. I know because I literally just tried to pull them off without taking the bottom of the coffee maker off and the cheap plastic sides are so brittle they crack and the snap latches break. Do not try to take the side panels off without removing the bottom. Mine wasn't leaking though it was super clogged up and would not cycle water. Well got to go, off to buy a new coffee maker.

      Thats interesting, I didn't have to but its best to be safe rather than sorry.

      How would you get the security screws at the bottom of the machine off to open the sides I got the top ones out to the water spout

    • @BThack
      @BThack 3 года назад +1

      @@ijoey1998 I actually ended up having to throw mine away because the plastic panels were so brittle that when I was disassembling all the latches for the side panels the tabs started breaking off and then the plastic panels cracked down the sides. it appears to me that Hamilton Beach just chose to use extremely cheap material to save money or to prevent self-repairs. So we just said F it when the panels started cracking and bought the Keurig 2-in-1 model just like this, which is uncharacteristic for me to just buy a new one but the panels just broke to the point of no repair during the disassembly process.

    • @ijoey1998
      @ijoey1998 3 года назад +1

      @@BThack so it’s better to go through Hamilton to repair it was their a metal clip for the hoses they forgot during assembly that caused the leaking of hoses?

    • @BThack
      @BThack 3 года назад +1

      @@ijoey1998 I didn't even make it that far brother. Once I started unlatching the side panels it was like the entire coffee maker started disintegrating in my hands. All you could hear or see was plastic cracking. So I assessed it as not worth repairing then tossed it in my dumpster.

    @2:50 You COULD replace the hose clamp with a screw-tightened one. (They're pretty cheap and easily available, and WAY more secure.)
