so... leatin. two months ago i randomly decided to give this show another shot and god leatin got me so bad yall have no idea - i think about them daily. the brainrot is so real and i keep thinking about different headcanons i'd like to try with them at some point. i could literally talk about them all day i'm not even joking they're so very important to me i can't even explain.
there's so much potential around them... especially past!crash and reading this amazing leatin fic which inspired me to start this video in the first place

i love both of them as characters so much. especially leah is so dear to me since i relate to her a lot... queen of depression, ocd and i like to headcanon her with bpd as well since there are several indicators showing glimpses of that. i mean, it's pretty clear she has got OCD and i'd say ours is pretty much the same kind of. i just love how they portrayed her character so much. and fatin... i kind of wish we would've gotten more of her past rather than just one fatin centric episode. we really could've had more flashbacks or something instead of adding the goddamn boy cast... she's just amazing and the fic i linked made me fall in love with her character even more and i love how it's from fatin's pov. and her character development???
i can't even talk about them as a couple without drooling or something they're so ldkfnfmföd. like obvs i chose more softer tone for this edit because i wanted it to match this fic's vibes so this is quite simple. but besides their softer scenes they're literally friends to enemies to lovers... so good oh my god.
imo the canon is that fatin falls in love with leah but leah just can't see that yet. she obv cares about fatin but her mind's still wrapped around her obsessions. anyway they're everything to me.

WELL THEN. shot by shot done, a few other things.
the colouring is stunning (as was expected). love the yellowish-greenish tones that any white/light background acquires here, am obsessed with that myself, though i don't utilise that very often. the images, you could call them, are so clean as well; i still remember that avatrice video, you've kept up with the insane clip quality i know you for. adore the subdued saturation, etcetera etecetera!
laughed my ass off at your description, because SAME. i'm trash for my pairings of choice, it's brainrot after brainrot until i'm not sure there's any _brain_ in that skull left; just rot at this point. i admire how passionate you feel about them--i recognise the sentiment, it's difficult to commit to words (says a _writer_ over here). just all around lovely!
i'm also glad leah seems to be a character whose struggles are an important step in mental health representation, and good for the show!

But adding unsharp mask on vegas pro does the trick i believe HAHA

oh, that's funny, my approach is the opposite: i render everything in 4k of late, even if the raw footage is of a lower quality. but yo, if it works, it works! unsharp rules.
yes, i do write fics; both in russian--my first language--and in english. now, regrettably, i'm lacking in my true mother tongue (mari), but that can always be fixed. i also dabble in screenwriting, got some scripts idly lying around, work on them from time to time. and in terms of fic, my latest venture is a yj au where 'wilderness baby' survives--a detailed exploration of the butterfly effect, if you will.
hey, just wanted to say (hope it doesn't come off wrong) i admire neurodivergent folks, and you among them. it sucks ass to live in a world that's not structured for you, so every day is a test of bravery. i'm so happy she's the kind of character who represented your struggles in a true and respecting fashion--you deserve that, y'all do. i know the feeling very well: it's not just The Gay that makes me obsessed with _yellowjackets,_ it's the deep, honest, and duly scary meditation on the debilitating nature of PTSD--a thing i've been fighting with for longer than i perhaps care to realise. funny how the show about sapphic cannibals can feel like home, huh?
