Humphrey Bogart's another one of my favourites where I love all his performances. I have seen 45 Bogart movies. Favourites include all the top films, plus others. They are The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, Casablanca, Key Largo, The Barefoot Contessa, The African Queen, To Have and Have Not, Angels with Dirty Faces, The Caine Mutiny, Dark Passage, They Drive By Night, Sabrina, The Petrified Forest, and In a Lonely Place. There are no Bogart films I don't enjoy watching multiple times. Favourite posters and stills are from Casablanca, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Maltese Falcon, The Big Sleep, Angels With Dirty Faces, To Have and Have Not, Key Largo, In a Lonely Place, Sabrina, The Caine Mutiny, Dark Victory, High Sierra, Dark Passage, The Enforcer, The Barefoot Contessa, They Drive By Night, Passage to Marseille, All Through The Night, Action in the North Atlantic, Black Legion, Beat the Devil, The Oklahoma Kid, Sirocco, Chain Lightning, and the final still with Bergman.
Hi Flora, 45 out of 55 is amazing, you're definitely a fan. I'm a fan too but I've seen just 25, you've listed most of my favorites which include - Casablanca, Sierra Madre, Maltese Falcon, Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, Key Largo, Caine Mutiny and The African Queen. Glad you liked the posters and stills and thanks as always for commenting, much appreciated.
Humphrey Bogart often managed to steal the show even when he was not the lead actor. He was so talented, one example the movie Casablanca. He made the film his own. He was unique.
Dead End - third billed - stole the whole picture - Bad sister - Big City Blues - Petfilde forest - Bullots or Battions - The Amazing Dr. Glitterhuse - Kid Galahad - The Roaring twenties - to name but a few of the supporting roles ( at best third billed) in which he made a major impact
Gran actor Humphrey Bogart. Creo que a partir de su gran película como protagonista High Sierra 1941, empezó su gran éxito como protagonista y su leyenda en el cine. Tiene una de las mejores filmografía de la historia del cine. Grandes películas con Edward G. Robinson. Bullets or Ballots 1936 William Keighley. Kid Galahad 1937 Michael Curtiz. Cayo Largo 1948 John Huston. La gran película. The Petrified Forest 1936 Archie Mayo. Con un gran reparto. Grandes películas con James Cagney. Angels with Dirty Faces 1938 Michael Curtiz. The Roaring Twenties 1939 Raoul Walsh. Grandes obras maestras del cine negro como protagonista. The Maltese Falcon 1941 John Huston. To Have and Have Not 1944 Howard Hawks. The Big Sleep 1946 Howard Hawks. Dead Reckoning 1947 John Cromwell. Dark Passage 1947 Delmer Daves. The Treasure of the Sierra Madre 1948 John Huston. In a Lonely Place 1950 Nicholas Ray. The Enforcer 1951 Bretaigne Windust, Raoul Walsh. The Desperate Hours 1955 William Wyler. Otras grandes películas entre otras. The African Queen 1951 John Huston. The Caine Mutiny 1954. Edward Dmytryk. Sabrina 1954 Billy Wilder. The Barefoot Contessa 1954 Joseph L. Mankiewicz. The Harder They Fall 1956 Mark Robson. Dura película sobre el boxeo. Con una impresionante actuación de Humphrey Bogart y también del gran actor Rod Steiger en un gran papel como villano. Humphrey Bogart otro de los grandes actores del cine clásico realmente irrepetible.
Another great post Marco, thanks! Bogart is 'the' iconic Hollywood actor. I'll bet more movie posters have been sold with his face on it than any other classic Hollywood actor. Casablanca is one of my all time favorites.
Bogart...the AFI number one actor....and our statistical page...Bogie is one of our Top Rated Actors. This is an EPIC PAGE. So that is 23 seen. Great posters. Great video. Voted up and shared.
Hi Bruce, enjoyed your detailed comment, cheers. You've seen 23, I managed 25 and Flora is way ahead with 45. The no.2 spot was a toss up between Maltese Falcon and Sierra Madre, Bogart's acting was stronger in Sierra Madre which may have tipped the scales. Same director on both films. But Michael Curtiz has the top spot with Casablanca and well deserved too. Thanks for the vote, share and comment, it is appreciated.
Hi there, I wish I could add any music I want to these videos but I'm limited with what's available for free at youtube's audio library. Thanks for posting!
I Like Humphrey Bogart Movies I Have On DVD In Alphabetical Order The Big Sleep The Caine Mutiny Casablanca The Maltese Falcon The Roaring Twenties Sabrina Sahara The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre
I have to disagree with d comments by a Humphrey Bogart fan.He never acted in better movies than Gregory Peck or Gary Cooper.Humphrey Bogart two best movies r Casablanca and d African Queen.Whilst he was a good actor, his favourite movies were detective movies, which allowed him to smoke more than he spoke.I don't know how some actors who keeps one grim facial appearance, whether he is upset or happy depicting a scene could be choosen as d number one actor.I guess everyone have d own opinion!
You have to admit Bogart was near perfect in the great films he is remembered for. Would Gary Cooper have been an effective Sam Spade, or Gregory Peck as Captain Queeg in The African Queen? He might not be the best actor but Bogart is arguably the most iconic actor to come out of classic Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe the most iconic actress. My idea of overrated is that other iconic actor, James Dean.
I agree with you. I enjoy some of Bogart's movies, but never really understood his appeal. I never cared for his voice/snarl or the constant sad look on his face. He used the same tone of voice and had the same facial expression regardless of the movie or scene. Plus, he didn't have the varied filmography of Cooper or Peck.
@@avocate2017 how could you say that? he was one of the greatest actors of all time. He doesn't have much range which i strongly agree. but , you need to learn acting. just see his performance in high sierra, Maltese falcon, Casablanca, big sleep , Treasure of sierra madre and In a lonely Place.(two of his most underrated and best acting in his career)
You can say there are better actors then bogart and don't always understand his wide appeal but the reality is that bogart is the movies most beloved star. Now and forever.

Robinson, cagney and Bogart are the reason gangster movies will always be popular.

Great stuff. I'm not a fan of the number one pick, but I have them all and watch them often. He died young from living a very good life.
No actor has starred in so many top quality movies as Bogart !
Probably right, look at that top 10. The top 20 too. 12 films scoring 8 or more. 6 films scoring 9+. Pretty amazing.
