You know what’s really sad.
The Eva 8 was my favourite shotgun because I found it more reliable
The Eva 8 was given a tiny buff and everyone started to use it.
Then they reverted the buff and everyone still used it
Then they nerf the gun a solid 2 or 3 times because people are using it, making it so much worse than in the first place
Now no one uses the gun

APEX balance team is really amateurish
they keep nerfing/buff according to complains,
instead of doing their research and use data to adjust the weapon to a balanced state
they also like to nerf/buff according to Pro levels, and 99% of us suffer the consequences
you should try Apex Mobile then, there the Eva-8 is actually pretty strong
they always over nerf. on gun they touched once was the r301 and it was a single dmg nerf. i don't get it. they dont play the game at all man, there's no way

Be honest with yourselves, has anyone ever considered the P2020 as a real weapon to use mid- or endgame (With scope and mag etc.)?
Edit: I never used the P2020 even after hammerpoint returned but seems like it´s a viable weapon judging from the replies to my question.
If I have a P2020 it is because I couldn't find anything else.

Spitfire and Hammer P2020 shred, but this is a controller player's opinion.
After I've seen people shred it with dual RE-45 everything is possible.
I think a 20 with hammerpoint can be quite usable, it just is so obsolete once you find basically anything else.
P2016 is a gods weapon
If you strafe enough and have decent aim, the P2020 and Mozambique are way deadlier than most people think they are. I will die fighting on this hill.

Agreed. In arenas i usually never choose any guns and just get the default p2020 and Mozambique. And if we win the round I'll just get throwables for the 2nd round and save the money for the next round so i can go all out with upgraded weapons from then on

as a lifeline main, mozambique is the best weapon.
Just remember: It's the community's fault that the EVA-8 is so bad now. After the first nerf, it was fine, but people kept complaining, and look where we are now.
To be fair, the EVA-8 isn't even THAT bad, it still has it's niche situations and it's damage can be pretty good

Mozam actually isn’t terrible I’ve been using it a surprising amount this season and I have to say it’s pretty good

Mozambique is just a wingman with three extra perks.
1)Room For error
2)auto fire.
3)does more unshielded damage and the same sheilded wkth hammer point.

I'm not big on shotguns, but l much prefer the Mozambique over all the other ones. It's the most consistent. And i do prefer it over a wingman as well

There's only 2 sides of balance: Eva pre-nerf and Eva post-nerf. Nothing in between, idk why they even keep some guns in this game to make them fully unusable yet filling the loot pool, making it more and more horrible with each season. When I started playing back in s7, dropping on something playable was like 1 out of 3 games for me. Now I just keep dropping on fully empty fucking houses that have 4+ loot spots with 5 possible gear pieces on them, which look like they are already fucking looted, I just get out of the house which I looted solo with no gun, 3 white mags for all types of shit which is non-existent, 2 frags and a fucking pack of shitty hop-ups of all types. Or p20+3030, or Eva+L-Star, or double Longbow. And I keep rolling this shit for hours until I just quit hot dropping entirely and spend half of the first round getting myself decent guns and other 2 rounds to finally find 2 remaining teams.

maybe, because she is a thief and movement is her most concern. P2020 is concealable weapon and have small design. maybe that's why

I'ma be real, stock p20 and Mozam are honestly perfectly fine. They do their jobs well at being finishing weapons like secondaries are supposed to be. However when you can equip two primary weapons like, no shit they feel like dog shit in comparison.
because of how versatile the wingman is and also how you can carry any gun you want, people forget that pistols in this game are designed as sidearms.
So if I see another person trashtalking the RE or P20 for not being able to one-clip red EVO's I am going to lose my mind.. And tbh, anyone using that excuse.. Can YOU one-clip with an R9? yeah, go compare reload speeds now.
On the other hand, they should just make it so eva shoots slugs or boost it's rof and give it more ammo, AA-12 style, what you can't make up in dmg, make up with more shots, classic game balance.
p2020/mozam with attachments is a genuinely alright loadout but lstar/eva has to be the worst realistic loadout

Sentinel + Peacekeeper. both need to load a new bullet/shell per shot so its just so annoying switching mid fight between them

I personally don't agree with the EVA-8 being the worst gun. Sure, it is probably the worst of the shotguns, but I still find it quite reliable as a secondary. I'd still drop it for a Peacekeeper or a Mozam with Hammerpoints, but I do not think it really is that bad (I main Mad Maggie so I kind of do use Shotguns really often)

I struggle getting 2k damage with good guns and this guy getting 3k damage games with p2020 and Mozambique.
EVA-8 hop-up:
Evo choke
Repeated successful shots tighten choke spread
Missing shots and reloading resets choke spread
Mozam isn't even that bad, I'll much rather have a naked mozam over L star, charge rifle, Eva 8
And to think some of these guns were good before “pros” wanted them nerfed. Now they want the gold knockdown shield gone. This game will eventually become boring af to play thanks to “pros”. 😂😂

Gold knockdown shield...?! bruh there's a lot of people who spam shoot circling your downed body to kill you instead of having to breach the shield lmao why is that something they want nerfed?
@@Chillwave6 because if you have a golden knockdown shield and only 2 squads are left then there's a high chance you will win even if you are downed. see some videos of lulu or whatever
...The shield doesn't protect you from being just killed by the enemy anyway if they get close to you. Still why nerf it if it barely even saves you
When final ring closes and say there are 7 knocked bodies the gold knockdown shield is like an extra set of health even if you entire team is dead
P20 and mozam are really good guns. P20 is a shoot as fast as you can click with good damage, and mozambique is a shotgun that does 45 damage pretty reliably up close.

I have been using the Eva 8 (as a secondary) with good secess lately. As for the Mozambique, it's far better than people give it credit for. Hammerpoints turn it into an absolute beast and one thing no one wants to mention about it is "draw speed". It has the draw speed of a pistol, so for those close range engagements where you Crack someone's armor but now have to reload, you switch to the Mozambique and finish them in 2-3 shots. Heck sometimes I Crack someone and even though I still have over half a mag, I finish with the Mozambique to save ammo. An ther undervalued feature of these is ammo. You don't need to carry much ammo for the Mozambique or pistols for them to be effective.

Lstar isn't bad. You just need to learn to use it. (Eva-8 is the worst)
I can't tell you how many times I've been aiming directly at someone at range with the p2020 and missed my shots

i love watching Apex YTs because every game it seems the enemy has the worst possible aim in the world in their lobbies but in my much lower level/elo lobbies I get beamed from 300m away by some Wraith with a PK and a Prowler
If u do another like this try doing bocek/p2020 with hammerpoints for worst and flatline/r99 for best

this video kinda shows just how useless an overpowered loudout is, you can win a game using (mostly from what I can see) just a p2020, I'm not saying stuff like the spitfire is worthless though, just because you have a bad gun doesn't mean your gunna lose, its almost all on preference unless the gun has been nerfed into it being useless in any kind of way, like 1-2 dps or something
I think the loadout I have started with the most this season is the 30-30 and P20 with no sights or hop-ups until I leave or win a fight. Sure is funny when you down lv3 purple evo armor though.
The p2020 and Mozambique combination proves that no guns combos are bad all guns are good it is just how you use it
Mozambique is surprisingly good at range if you have just a 1x, if you figure out the bullet drop from whatever range you’re at then you’re set

I swear all they have to do is give the Eva-8 the same choke mechanic as all the other shotguns, why is the Eva-8 the exception to the rule?
Remember when they nerfed the hip fire on all lmgs because the spitfire was to good and their explanation was “we want to keep weapon classes more unified”… same thing here but they’re scared to make it meta again after last time.
Technically now that the mastiff is in the package the Eva should of found it’s Place as the only semi auto shotgun but instead it’s become redundant because of the PK.
So basically they need to ether buff the Eva or nerf the PK to make players actually use both but also giving them slightly separate roles from each other.
I want s7 pre-nerf eva as a care package weapon with double tap and maybe a 10 round mag
Tbh nerfing the pk won't solve anything but make all shotguns garbage since the mastiff is gone, all the Eva needs is a dmg buff or a pellet spread buff and it's fine.

My take on the worst build is the Eva8 + 3030 Repeater, Both guns just perform extremely poorly in all situations. The 3030 can deal some damage if you're lucky enough tho.

Try the Prowler With purple mag And The Mozambique with hammer point and purple bolt

the eva 8 used to be better
and as for the longbow, it's still good. it's almost better without sights because you can hit people up close and still do some decent damage. it is, and always has been the best sniper rifle in the game. but I actually kind of like the 30-30 repeater better. not sure what they did to the 30-30 but I think it's better now than when they first added it to the game.

Nah I love to use a r-99 and Eva-8 all the time because it is nice to have a high damage shotgun but the peacekeeper has such a low fire rate that it let me down to much and I can never find a mastiff like never
L-star with 3x scope if you can and g-7 scout with no scope, GOOD LUCK
I won with wingman charge rifle the other day and last week with a nonturbo havoc and bow. I have no idea how I did it. It was a shock honestly.

of those, mozam. that way you have no range ontop of it. With a Longbow you can still get those ranged shots in.

The EVA was a lot better last season, but the community was still complaining like “tHe EVA-8 iS sTiLl OP, rEsPaWn NeEdS tO nErF iT”. And look at where it is now. Doing 6 damage for a body shot. I hate it here.
I personally think mozamber sounds better than krabeak
