Lost Place: The remains of the WW2 REICHSBAHN fleet found in the woods (OVER 50 Steam TRAINS!!!)
- Located near Poland's border, the remains of the complete WW2 Reichsbahn fleet that survived the war are rusting away on an old and forgotten train station. Some of them survived in an amazing condition in a locomotive shed while others are exposed to the elements.
The steam trains are mostly belonging to the so-called Baureihe 52 and 50 (the so-called Kriegslokomotiven) because they were built in large numbers during the war in a standardized production process in several plants in Europe. Over 7000 were built and were used until the 1980s.

It`s not lost, it`s not forgotten and certainly not "found". It all belongs to a private collection. (Dampfloksammlung Falkenberg).
And there not trains
This dude just steals others' videos and makes money out of it, this stupid channel should be demonetized
@@davidderbidge8232 Schnitt das dampfloks mit das acetylen-brenners. Danke für die Schrottbilder. die Dampflokomotiven einschmelzen.
@@PreservationEnthusiast no steam locomotives are the best why are you everywhere though
@@jasper2185 No, steam locomotives must be cut apart and scrapped because of global warming climate change.
I post in different places to help educate people that scrapping of steam locomotives and other polluting machinery is an important part of our strategy to combat climate change.
Visiting the Hamburg railway station, as a 10-year-old in 1967, the east Germans were still running steam locomotives, the fireman inviting me up into the cab what a thrill it was! Mom had to drag me away from the locomotive.
Hamburg was in West Germany and the West Germans were still running steam locos at that time. I travelled through Germany by train in 1969 and remember a steam locomotive on a turntable at Wasserbillig, near Luxembourg.
The rusty locos are Reko BR 52s, rebuilt in the DDR. They were în the forme fleet of locomotives of The DDR before being retired. Great footage.
This has to be Museum cuz there is no way the ones inside that shed or still in that good for being 70 years old and are still all together plus the one where it was just the boiler assembly that looked freshly painted a paint from the forties would not look that well-preserved
The paint is probably from the 1990s when they stopped using them after the USSR collapsed.. They use durable paint on trains, if it is in a shed it could still look like this. There are still five WWII german trains in use hauling coal today in 2022 in Bosnia.
it's amazing how many of the technologies that we consider extinct can be found literally right next to us! a while ago I myself came across something like this on the top floor of the building where I worked - a room with the emptied remains of huge metal cabinets, still lined up along the walls. it turned out to be an old telephone exchange! who would have guessed that this thing was sitting forgotten above our heads?! 😊
Somebody will fix them someday.
I feel bad for the locomotives😭😢😪 #savetheamall
This looks like a Railway Steam Preservation site rebuilding scrap steam loco's. A lot of British preserved Steam Railways like the SVR, KVR, and many other lines had lines of scrap stem locos like these from Barry and are now all rebuilt and running
No, they are stored waiting for cutting.
if they wait any longer, there wont be much to cut.

Interesting but those in the roundhouse don't look abandoned to me.
* All are filled with memories. From manufacture , to years of use, to retirement. And all those memories from all those souls will be "Lost Like Tears In The Rain" Great vid ! Thankyou. 😔
Dust in the wind is what you wanted to say, i guess.
Old train and wagons. Very nicely shot and composed. Like in some horror movie.
Appropriate to the country that brought us The Holocaust.
history of world war 2, Hello everyone, I am living in Vietnam, wish you much happiness! 👍🏽🔔
NOT 'trains' but locomotives ['engines' if you must].
😢😢😢
Schade um die Loks.
The music really sets the mood
Such a shame there left there like this to rot.
Wirklich sehr interessant! Tolle Aufnahmen!
The grave yard of old iron heroes realty drawing us into a pensive mood.I appreciate the authorities to have long vision to preserve some of them.
If they could tell a story
Verlassener platz mit autozug nehben dran xD. Gutes video :)
Sehr interessant 👍🏻Daumen hoch dafür!
Klasse Video, schöne Übersicht.
Danke
Good to see some of them are being restored - surprised they let you climb into the trains with all of the exposed asbestos.
Where did the locomotives have asbestos in them? I genuinely have never heard of that.
@@cf1925 Asbestos was used as a heat resistant insulation. It was not used in a way with cement (like for roof panels), but it was made like a sort of textile.
You can find it around the boiler, and around some steam pipes. At 0:25 you can see this insulation hanging around.
@@roadrunnerwb Mineral wool was not used commercially until the 1950s... these were WWII engines so probably used asbestos. US/Canadian/UK engines continued to use asbestos through the 1970s. Railroad workers had tons of health issues due to asbestos.
@@voneschenbachmusic they were run for way after ww2, the asbestos MIGHT have been replaced...
No, must of them will be broken up for scrap.
Lovely collection, if all those loco could be restored, what a collection it would be.
Brilliant 👍
Schönes video!
Thanks for Sharing!
Greetings from Turkey / EUROPE
Thanks for sending me the link, Ramazan.
Rust in peace
They are gorgeous
So many skeletons of once proud German locomotives. Hate to see them in such dis-repair.
There are so many of them in use in de. You could probably buy one if you wanted!
Skeletons......
Amazing!!!...🤙😎🤘
Someone save those ones sitting outside
Hello everyone, I am living in Vietnam, wish you much happiness! 👍🏽🔔
Tacaz city omg😗😗
Thx you too
Very good this clips
I'm telling you right now this is a private collection and the ones inside the building have been rebuilt using the pieces and parts of the doner engines outside.
Maybe you should get a hold of the owner, who owns the land who knows maybe you'll learn something. Before you just go trespassing
Makes me remember Stalker movie!
PS.: Auch andere Museen bieten solche „Verlassene“ Loks...
Should b kept that way and open to the public
It is open on some days
Traurig!
I couldn't find a link for the music you used for this magnificent video
Sad work from great work horses
Top👍
I thought all that stuff was melted down and turned into car parts.
Private collection, I hope they are restored someday
Edit: man those railway cranes are cool as fuck
Cool
The ones in the covered area still looking usable..
So horror, i feel there are much ghost
nice
Where in germany is this?
Schönes Video. Falkenberg ob. Bf.
Coal!
I was just wondering if this locomotive ‘dump’ still exists and where it can be found? I assume it’s in the former East Germany
Had to mute the annoying sound.
Most if not all are only cosmetically restored, will never steam again, but at least they are safe from the gas axe...
Some BR 52s even survive in Bosnia as there are clips of them running in 2019

😁😁😁
1:03 To je Škoda? Škoda vyráběla taky dobré parní lokomotivy ;)
Where is this?? There's LITERALLY HUNDREDS of old kreigslogs I would LOVE to save a few and restore one with all the parts

What was the weird noise for?
Imagine getting inside of one and then pulling the brake handle as a joke but then it starts rolling forward.
Closing my eyes, fingers on my temples, trying to imagine it.
That's hot 🔥
If trains could tell there story - huh it could be very sad
Can’t these locomotives be preserved..😢
I'm lost. I am a train Wreck. Will you be there to pull me out
Sadly, most are simply too rusted beyond repair that even moving them is just dangerous. Although the Soviet kept them in good conditions 'till the 90s, so there's still hope.
What's horror!!
I see no trains just locomotives.
The urge to somehow repair one and steal it
😭😥👍
Gruselig ist die Musik 😂
A lot of friable Asbestos in those engines.
The way these trains were used during ww2 makes them almost the last witness to the millions of people that took the last bath in Auswitch,Treblinka,Majdanek,Flossenburg and all the rest of camps , Dachau , Bergen-Belsen , Neungamme , and cant rember all the 500 or more deathcamps
hopefully they get reppaird
Did some of these engines carried people to concentration camps?
ahhh Sad :'(*
What’s with the scary music? A bit silly
Buen trabajo
Here you can see how these were built… (before being used later by the GDR/DDR)

I know ww3 was bad but a train is not wors it made what the people used the train for if you paint the trains in that time you can never remember where the where used for
