When I was a kid I found Warhammer difficult because it was often combative and argumentative. Watching your relentless positivity and ability to find the humour in the game even when everything's going wrong for you has single handedly made me get back into it, and I'm now playing games every week at my local centre and loving it. Thanks for being such an unbelievable force for joy!
mate, speaking as some one who's been there and come back, the fact you recognise it, and the fact you know what makes you feel better is half the battle. If it hasn't already, it will pass
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪 hands down: this is the best Oldhammer channel out there! What I especially love, is your positive attitude. The second most fabulous thing about your reps: every Batrep armies which you have presented sogar are FULL PAINTED! Well done mate. Respect and appreciation. Kind regards.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Stos! Can't wait to watch this, new army on the channel too it seems, cool. Doesn't any aussie play Empire? So strange there still hasn't been anyone with an Empire army offering to play on the channel as it’s one of the main armies. I would love to see my army, Tomb Kings, played as they have a very unique playstyle in 6th, but I understand not many play that army. But no Empire?! :) Oh well, thank you Stos!
I've been contacted by a guy who's finishing his Empire army and is keen to film a game soon. I know Damon (the Beast of Chaos player) is doing an Empire army as well. My next major project will be resurrecting MY 6th Ed Empire army. So there will likely be a glut of Empire content in the future. As to Tomb Kings, that avenue is still currently dry. Thank you so much for your support and Merry Christmas to you and yours sir!
@@rogueelementgaming That’s great, I like how Empire plays in 6th too with the detachments etc. Glad to hear it. :) I'm sure a Tomb Kings player will come up with the Old World release.
It is such a joy to watch your battle reports. Everything perfectly itches my scratches I have with batreps: super nice guys being fair sports, beautiful armies, nice tables, camera work is nice, your comments make it easy to follow and the love for the game the whole time. Thanks for celebrating warhammer in such a way. Grossly underrated channel.
It is really too bad that you are living so far away from Europe to maybe play a game eventually. Never say never, though. But I do not see me carrying minis 12.000km across the globe - or do I?😂
haha. i was screaming about the doom diver in the last round. good on zac for reminding you and giving advice for target. great game, great opponent and great armies
I would just identify a slight dip in production quality, as I'd hate to see it become a reoccurring issue: the last time you played the Lizardmen you hummed the Jurassic Park theme, which was notably absent this time around! In all seriousness, another great battle report! Zac had a really interesting army that I thought would've really struggled against the Greenskins, especially given the nature of the scenario, but he defiantly played his army to its strengths (your *TERRIBLE* luck certainly helped though)!
For fleeing direction: a good approach is to make the full move of the fleeing unit even if they are going to get caught. Then, the chasing units move in the same line used by the fleeing unit regardless of whether the chasers were in the flanks, front, or rear. (Hope it makes sense. English is not my first language)
So fun to watch as always! Best batreps on youtube, and best edition of course! Do you think you'll be dipping your toe in The Old World at some point?
I'm glad this popped up on my recommended, nice to see old world fantasy still thriving. Makes me want to get out the Dark Elf army I've had stored away. Subscribed look forward to more!
Aw thanks Santa, just what I really wanted, a surprise R.E.G. 6th Edition Warhammer Battle Report. The debut of Brog Porkchoppa and a new Slann general with his reptilian children come out to play, great stuff. Lovely miniature eyecandy, always feeds my hobbiest heart to see such well painted armies. Enjoyed the game, the laughs and groans, thanks guys. And just because you like them.. a wordy gift in return. Boggle and Flikkitt, the goblin crew, finished removing the mangled pieces of doomdiver clogging up the warmachine's gubbins. Beyond the hill the field was a scrum of greenskins and lizards, dustclouds of battle drifted here and there, the lumbering shadowy silhouettes of trolls and monstrous reptilian beasts were visible beyond the distant ruins. Boggle grinned wickedly, with a yell the fixed warmachine was repositioned and a deranged diver catapulted into the heavens soaring away .. the diver plummeted, tore through the terradons. Boggle and Flikkett celebrated with a cruel cackle as the remaining creature flew away .. surveying the rest of the field the goblins ears wilted, greenskins littered the ground, perhaps it was time to leggit.
Bloody great game! Gotta watch out for those Lizardmen. Pretty certain my first exposure to WH in general was the WD issue for the release of the 8th es Lizardmen Army book.
The black orc boss would have moved against carnosaur on the flank, so he would not have been dying in the front. There should have been 1 regular black orc in addition to Zog to strike back on the saurus warriors. When carnosaur pursuited, it should go towards the fleeing unit. If the black orcs fled long enough, the pursuit line might have taken carnosaur into the orcs. Since black orcs fled only 5 inches, the pursuit line would probably be near the night goblins, from center of the carnousaur to the center of the unit of black orcs, and then beyond in the same line. In any case carnosaur would not have been looking straight at the table edge, it would have been somewhat diagonally, looking the same direction that the pursuit line was.
Amazing game! Always good to see the lizardmen getting a win! If I was the one playing them I would have attempted to charge the boar boyz with the stegadon... maybe that would have changed things on that flank
I really appreciate seeing the interesting lists in these games, never quite strike me as what you'd expect and yeah throws up interesting games as a result.
In 1:58:20 you determine the direction of the flee trying to avoid enemy's and if possible keeping a distance of 10 cm or more (idk how much is it in your elvish UM). So if the general avoid the goblins, pretty much the orcs would also avoid them and end at their left.
Very fun battle report! Always happy to see lizardmen. Also it was extra fun for me since I'm in the process of putting together a 6e army that is very similar to Zach's. Literally the same units, except I don't have the skink heroes, I got a scar vet riding with the knights, and I have fewer spawnings and magic items and more saurus and knights and an extra kroxi.
What a perfect Christmas present to get another amazing Battle Report from my favourite channel! And what a bumpy ride it was, yet again, I feel bad for your dice rolls, mate, but it does make for some very entertaining battle reporting :'DD Happy Holidays and looking forward to your videos in the coming year too! :)
Thanks for this Xmas treat. I had to watch it over three nights as it was a nice long one. Thoroughly entertaining as always. Merry Xmas Stos. The sixth community loves you.
An early Xmas gift from Stos for us all! Nice one mate and thanks for all the work you put into all your entertaining batreps. Hope you have a great Xmas break and I look forward to another year of the King of Editions😁
I've been watching a lot of Old World battle reports over the past few weeks, but I must say you produce some of the best, if not the best, WFB battle reports. It's all clear, I see why you're rolling the dice, thank you for this work. Have you considered reporting on The Old World?
Yeah not much went your way this battle.. Also super-cool to see a fresh opponent. I think the Lizardmen list was a fairly strong list, but you lost thanks to bad luck.. Would have been a different story with chariot charges and so on... :) Thanks for sharing another AMAZING battle report with us!! Will you by any chance try "the old world" when it comes out? Keep up the good work ^^

Heya. Its so great to see a fellow aussie on here. So thanks for the battle reports. Im just getting into 6e/7e whfb. I'd love a video on army building advice.
Fun battle. One point on the game (although it didn't matter in the end, as the flyers were demolished by the orc artillery and fled in any case), I thought I recalled that you stated that flyers were not eligible to take and hold objectives, so I don't think the lizards would have actually gotten any points for the objective on the orc right flank. Didn't matter, as it was still a spectacular victory for the lizards (taste like chicken).
Santa Claws wishes you and your beloved ones the best for christmas! Have a lovely time with your family, relax and continue with this lovely content after the Holidays with renewed vigor. Again, thank you very miluch Stos for sharing these wonderful games with these awesome people. May the dice always be good with you and your opponents! Kind regards FA
Great one. Was wondering why Saurus with spears have hand weapons?? I checked and Saurus can have lances, so why not play them as they are represented. I believe you should enforce the wysiwyg, unless it’s a nice conversion/proxy, that i get. But just because it’s a stronger option, it’s quite sad to see, especially when armies are so beautiful to see !
Another great game games (and for the Lizard player, you can poison a chariot! its only inanimate things like war machines you cant, chariots having living components)
About the presuit the lizard lord. You miss the rules. Strait away and to the closes tabel edge. And awoyd enemy unit. So the lord vold run more fore the tabel edge.
A lovely battle with fantastic looking armies. The old carnosaur is one of my personal favourites. Very grateful to high-school me to have one myself. With regards to 1:13:10 - I believe that, rules as written, the carnosaur would have pursued "straight towards the fleeing unit" (or rather, where it would have been if it had survived), and so the oldblood would likely hit or clipped the Orc boys at a slight angle, counting as pursuit into a fresh enemy, but the exact angle might not work out that way. Also I believe the black orcs could still have held! Unless you are automatically breaking via fear, a double 1 always holds, regardless of modifiers, right? Even with the BSB reroll the odds certainly weren't great, but enough to at least give it a go!
Just found you today, easy sub from me. 6th edition Fantasy was my start in wargaming back in the day, cool to see it going strong across the ditch. Quick question, do you happen to know where Boss Porkchoppa came from? That's a lovely mini, wouldn't mind printing one off for myself. Sorry if someone already asked, did a quick skim of the comments but RUclips doesn't make it easy.
I have a question about the incedent whit goblins charge the lizard lord. You declerad the charge and passed the terror test.. so i think then you are no more affkted by terror any more. And i dont think you roll fore feer if you roll fore terror at same unit at same turn. Read about pass terror test.
The black orc warboss rule - I'm a bit confused by it. I always thought it meant it just takes up a lord and hero slot but still only counts as 1 character choice. So for example could you take another goblin shaman as you are allowed max 4 heros, max 1 lord and max 4 characters in a 2000 point army? With this extra shaman you would have 4 hero slots, 1 lord slot but still within the 4 character max limit, or does it mean that the Black orc warboss counts as 2 character choices?
I think that with a spear you can only make one attack, and the rule of 2 atacks of the saurus is because they bite like a pitbull named princess and that attack only can be make with the first rank miniatures
Battle standards only allow you to reroll break from combat tests in 6th Ed. The Black Orcs auto broke because their leadership was reduced to 0 and the "insane bravery" roll of double 1's came in 7th Ed.
What are your plans for your channel and warhamemr going forward with the imminant release of the old world Stoss? COnitnue 6th ed content or give TOW a whirl?

Yeah, wysiwyg but in 6th edition every miniature has a hand weapon: a rock, a peelpotatoe etc so it's not that bad in this case
Are you sure lizard men cold ones riders can have lances?

The black orc warboss rule - I'm a bit confused by it. I always thought it meant it just takes up a lord and hero slot but still only counts as 1 character choice. So for example could you take another goblin shaman as you are allowed max 4 heros, max 1 lord and max 4 characters in a 2000 point army? With this extra shaman you would have 4 hero slots, 1 lord slot but still within the 4 character max limit, or does it mean that the Black orc warboss counts as 2 character choices?
2 full character choices mate.
Do you play AOS? Are you going to play The Old World?
Great content.
No to AOS. Yes to TOW. Just gotta wait for the crappy delayed Australian shipping.
Saurus have 2 attacks each, don't they?
So in the final turn vs goblins, first rank 8 attacks 2nd 6 attacks!
Thanks mate!
They were being proxied as just hand weapon and shields.
I think that with a spear you can only make one attack, and the rule of 2 atacks of the saurus is because they bite like a pitbull named princess and that attack only can be make with the first rank miniatures
I think you didn‘t use your battle standard? At the beginning for the Boyz and later for the Black Orks. Is that right?
Battle standards only allow you to reroll break from combat tests in 6th Ed. The Black Orcs auto broke because their leadership was reduced to 0 and the "insane bravery" roll of double 1's came in 7th Ed.

I had not known that the european Name-Alphabet 😆üöä are spezial, o.k. I think about a Nickname to make it easier
Great Game again, very fairly Opponent (Doom Diver) again.
In this Game the Dice God was a Harlequine
Boar Boys had a Punch but in danger to go to far from Center of Battle. Normaly no Problem but with the Leadership General together ?
In Objective Games you must concentrate to hold them not to play a funny Game BUT I Love watchIng your are some Gaming Skill indeed
Most welcome mate. Thank you so much for supporting the channel! 💖
Aren't Black Orcs immune to Psychology?
Unfortunately not in 6th Ed mate. Thanks for watching!
@@rogueelementgaming Thanks for clarifying!
No dwarfs. Still thumbs up
Oh what a day!! What a lovely day!!
Mate, lovely videos and a great channel. One small nitpick tho - please work a bit with the 'so' problem. Saying that word 6 times in half a minute is a bit grinding on the ears.
Come back to us stos 😊
Tempted to pick up any of the returning Greenskin stuff for your Boyz? More Boar Boyz?
I'm thinking someone needs to ditch those awful orcs and do an all goblin army.
Get an extra hero per 1000 points.

How come your guests don’t have the charisma you have?!
If Zac has 100 haters, i am one of them.
If Zac has 10 haters I am one of them.
If Zac has 1 hater. I'll make everyone see the truth

This is a fun game though. I'm sure I'll check out some more and the old world stuff as well. @rogueelementgaming
