    Definitely going to get the players in my group to watch this series. All are new players (struggled to find a veteran D&D group in South Africa), and your videos are great tutorials. Thanks bro, and keep up the good work on your channel. Awesome stuff.

    I enjoy watching these videos, between this, and the Provokers (that I'm hooked on and can't wait for the next episode and if I'm lucky can be apart of that and watch live). Not only do I think they help be being what I would call a novice player (only playing 4th for half a campaign) but also gives me so many ideas. I remember watching episode of the Provokers and thinking "id do it this way or I would try this". Thank you for some amazing videos and keep it up please.

    Bought my nephew the starter set for Christmas he's 14 and never played. I need to point him to you so that he can watch this set of workshops. I'm also going to have to invite him over to run a game for him and my wife and kids :). Great video for someone that has not played and learn or wants to make sure they are reading the books right. This edition so far looks to be pretty straight forward and easy to understand. Can't wait until I get to play lol. Can't convinces anyone in my group to run :). Anyhow was way longer than I was going to right. Keep them up.

    Hi, thanks for your videos. I really enjoy them.
    Just wanted to add something, which you've just overlooked I guess.
    You can add one more hit die to your character. So it's 1 hit die per character level.
    Not so important if you don't play the char but on the field some more healing should come in handy :)

      73Bogus Yes, I catch this in the next episode! Thanks for the heads-up.

      ***** No, you only roll 1 HD per level. The total HD is for when you're taking a short rest to regain a portion of your HP. If your HD is D6, you're only rolling 1D6+CON every level for HP.

    Hey Matt, first off well done on yet another great video, but yeah I was wondering if you were gonna do a video on feats? I saw there's quite a large section on it and I was wondering if I got any when I started. The only way I saw to get some was by sacrificing my ability score increase perk. Anyway, keep up the good work! :D

    Ice Cream! lol Honestly I appreciated this guide because I haven't played in AWHILE. Maybe 5/6 years. My previous DM was a perfectionist and did the majority of the maths for us and input it into an excel sheet lol. Now I'm doing every thing by hand and pretty much relearning the game.

    Hi Matt! I'm new to DnD and am loving your videos, you've really been helping me out! I know you were talking about multiclassing, and I'm just wondering when you're planning on covering that. Thanks!

    Hey Matt!!!
    im a first time player new to DND but thx to ure workshop i made my first Tiefling Rouge. Now my question is how do i turn him into the Assassin Archtype? i know it at lv.3 but how exactly does it work?

    • @aFistfulofDice
      @aFistfulofDice  9 лет назад +1

      Deathpr You automatically get one of the archetypes at level 3. At level 3, just look under the assassin archetype and give him the appropriate traits.

      hey matt...
      um my player have expresed that they want their DM a.k.a. me to play a character and be a DM. Is that possible or should i get more players?

    • @aFistfulofDice
      @aFistfulofDice  9 лет назад

      Deathpr I always advise against DM PCs. I like NPC hirelings for this task. Check out my Iron Lords of Zhekesh campaign for an example.

    Hey, Matt, I have a question: I'm playing as a cleric, and I feel a bit confused regarding spell limitations. You mentioned that a cleric does not need to learn spells, but the chart mentions "Spells Known". Also, do clerics need to prepare spells, and do they have spell slots? I felt a bit confused when I read it all...

    • @aFistfulofDice
      @aFistfulofDice  9 лет назад +1

      Eduardo Smith Clerics don't have "spell known." They have cantrips known, and spell slots per level. Clerics can prepare a number of spells per day equal to their Wisdom modifier plus their Cleric level. They can choose those prepared spells from ANY of the cleric spells. They use their spell slots to cast these prepared spells.
      So it comes down to...
      Spells Known: ALL
      Spells Prepared: WIS Modifier + Cleric Level
      Spell Slots: Determined by Level
      So a first-level Cleric with 14 Wisdom would prepare 3 spells per day (WIS Modifier [2] + Cleric Level [1]). They have 2 spell slots with which to cast these spells (either casting two spells once, or one spell twice.
      It can be a little confusing, but once it clicks for you, it'll make so much more sense.

    • @MrDudsmith
      @MrDudsmith 9 лет назад +1

      I guess I got it now. It's because I understood as if there were no limits to the spells, and with all the absurdly strong damaging and healing spells, a Level 1 cleric would be too strong, and it didn't make sense for me. Thanks! Also, I have to say that playing Tiefling Cleric is really fun, since it makes almost no sense to any one!

    • @aFistfulofDice
      @aFistfulofDice  9 лет назад +1

      Eduardo Smith No, there's definitely a limit. But unlike wizards, clerics have access to all of the spells on their lists to prepare.

      +hearitinthevibes That's the 5e sheet. Google it and it should be the first, at dnd wizards
