Interesting that you said that you feel like A. Ward is generally liked. I mean its true, but he is also probably one of the most polarizing battle rappers right now. People seem to either love or hate him.
He's undeniably very good though and extremely consistent although he battles a LOT. He also has a knack for producing classics and losing them. Feels like every time he battles a big name like Illmac, Nitty, Sikh, Bigg K, etc. his opponents come with crazy career performances. Some of that may be owed to his heavy schedule, i think Ilmac said he had a long time preparing for this battle (he also rarely battles nowadays) and I dont think A Ward took that much time considering that he probably had quite a few other battles that year.
Still clearly a top tier tho imo.
A Ward has the same complex that plagued Charron for years. he smoked a lot of URLs top rappers despite never battled there. and when he battles non black rappers he more than often loses.
