I love how Sojourn told them to move on, to let go of Overwatch, and it showed Cassidy and Winston
Overwatch was the only place that gave those two purpose
After leaving the Deadlock Gang, Cassidy found a good use for his skills in Overwatch, he could actually use his sharp aim to help people, and Winston lost his home, his family on the Lunar Colony, it would make sense for him to cling to his new family so dearly, and use his scientific knowledge for the sake of those who need him
They can’t move on, because Overwatch means that much to them
It’s not part of who they WERE like Sojourn, it’s part of who they ARE

@@user-eo4it2rn1f oh they banned overwatch because the incident with blackwatch that characters like Jack Morrison and Gabriel Reyes supposedly died in as well as the previous agents deaths like Doctor Liao and Gerard Lacroix. It was sorta a “YALL can’t handle yourself” thing and no country was running overwatch so there wasn’t anyone to keep tabs on it but itself. Like imagine if the American pentagon exploded one day because one branch of the army revolted against the rest. It’s easier to just shut the whole deal down
