Billy Dilley's Super-Duper Subterranean Summer is a 2017 animated series created by Aaron Springer. It is the last truly original Disney XD cartoon as well as the shortest Disney TV cartoon ever made. It came and went so quick, we didn't really have time to figure out what it is. This video description is probably your intro to this whole show. Time to fix that.

Yeah. It feels like something from Cartoon Network than Disney. Characters in random shenanigans/adventures. Usual 2000s/early 2010s CN show.
Bruh, i used to watch future worm as a kid. Definitely an underrated show
After watching The Show a little bit thanks to Disney+, i personally feel this show would perform much better on another channel like Nickelodeon because it's Gross Out Humor and Slapstick nature does not really combine with Disney TVA since their comedy shows are more calmed and less chaotic (Ex: Gravity Falls, Phineas & Ferb, Amphibia, etc) and due to how it was too distinct it is from the rest.
Heck, the characters and the artstyle of the show are much more detailed than a typical disney animated show character.
In my opinion, Billy Didlley was just in the wrong network/channel due to how distinct it was from the channels' target audience and nature.
The show could totally fit and would perform better on Nickelodeon.
I don't mind the slapstick gross-out nature. The true problem is the main character. He is too aloof and his voice is too annoying. A different voice and them acting trying to escape more often would make the show watchable.

You know, since Uncle Grandpa had a good run on Cartoon Network, this show would've fit well on that network instead. Both shows have a identical look and tone (though Billy Dilley is less deranged and surreal compared to UG).
Plus, most of the guys behind this show, also worked for Uncle Grandpa. I feel like this style of humor works well with CN than Disney and Nick.
I do vaguely remember the show, but I never saw it. I didn't expect it to fall into obscure/forgotten territory to be honest here, neither did I expect it to have a short run either which sucks. Very nice to see you give a retrospective on this, and now I might check it out for its 90s-influenced nature.

I had never even heard of this show until you uploaded this video, as a bit of a testament to its… I suppose obscurity is the best word for it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone except me knew this show existed and actively chose not to talk about it.
I remember it unfortunately. I hated it and didn't care about it so much I can't even remember which summer it came out in. It was around at some point when I was in high school though. Sometimes I wonder how creaters make horrible shows like this.

I thought Nightmare Ned was the shortest Disney show ever! Going even more obscure I know.

I remember REALLY liking Marsha's and Zeke's design when this show first came out.

A well-done perspective (though I feel it could've used some more illustration earlier on) on a very under-regarded part of the slow-motion demise of Disney XD, and the content caught within that spiral.
Of the shows Disney XD burnt off in 2017, this was probably my least favorite of them (at least on the animation side), and if I stuck around longer I'd probably have resented the way it became a bit (apparently) aimless and unglued. But I appreciate you taking the time to explore this one and giving a chance to a show that could easily get lost as Disney XD itself becomes more consigned to history.
Honestly (which a few minor redesigns) these characters look like they could appear in Amphibia. I’m curious if anyone who worked on this show worked on Amphibia.
A majority of them worked on SpongeBob and Uncle Grandpa, with a few later helping out on The Cuphead Show and Looney Tunes Cartoons.
But there are some did later got their careers for Amphibia and Owl House.
Idk why but somehow I confused this with Future Worm. But this seems really cool for something so short lived.
They were playing them in tandem if I remember correctly

I remember this show from when I was a kid, I absolutely hated it!
It was one of the few Disney XD cartoons that made me change channels every time it aired instead of just waiting for something better to come on.
Good! You didn't feed it ratings. Neither did I. Well ok I did feed it rating but I only had it on as background noise

They aired it over two weeks, and DuckTales was still a month or two away. It should’ve gotten a better shot

Tried to check it out, but I never found the time. But I do like the retro 80's look in the design; especially the title screen.

After watching this video I may have to give it another chance. I was 17 when I first saw it. Here's a super ironic line. So I didn't like this show for the art style and it seemed Hella stupid. But I was in the minority cause I actually liked Pickle and Peanut (from that same era). I thought that show was funny and I liked how they used real images for characters and cartoon eyes and mouth. And the credit song is so weird but so funny.

Actually the shortest i believe is the nicktoon - making fiends with only 6 episodes and almost one month.
I thought this show honestly had MADDD potential, some of the episodes were bland but the designs, artstyles, and characters were astounding. Honestly Zeke and Marsha carried the show severely. Billy honestly has no personality and I really hope this show comes back, ugh. Sad

The show was ok to me I don't really care for gross out humor It doesn't really effect my viewing of the series I think that this show would be different If the writers weren't from spongebob season 5-9 but hey atleast the end credits are catchy!

It is also the worst Disney cartoon. I dislike how they were aloof to the fact that they were stranded in the center of the earth, it wasn't funny and the main character's voice is horrendous. It's as if Cartman was sucking on helium. Watch Gilligan's island instead. It's actually funny.
Billy was such a horrible character tbh, dude had no personality whatsoever. Episodes were so dragged out with him
