Don't forget to add a brace of pila and a full sarcina hung on your furca. Methinks that after a few miles, when the lorica hung heavy and the caligae started to chafe, the joyous novelty of marching as a mule of Marius might start to wane
Lorica Segmentata was used 1st century BC (late Roman Republic, early Roman Empire) it was used up until mid 3rd Century AD. So, technically this is accurate.
Shame we don't know the fate of the XIII legion, in my fantasy it lived on with the Eastern Roman Empire, wouldn't be suprised if the bucelarii comprised from descendants of the XIII, history is quite sad sometimes...
Firstly, martial attire was worn for martial ceremonies, similar to how legionaries wore full kit for triumphant parades. Secondly, a basic rule of campaign soldiering is that no enemies visible does not necessarily mean no enemies nearby.
True. However, the 13th did not acquire the cognomen 'gemina' until it was reconstituted under Augustus. By that time lorica segmentata had been widely adopted, and based on depictions on Trajan's column, was still the norm for legionaries when the 13th participated in the Dacian campaigns.
They actually wore quivers in their backs but rarely fought with it on their backs. In battle they usually just placed it on the ground, stuck arrows in the dirt and shot in groups with other archers.
Quick search for 'trajan's column archers' on google images: lo and behold, auxillary archer with a quiver on his back I guess they were already into hollywood cliches a few thousand years back.
I’d love to March in a reenactment legion, in full Lorica with scutum, gladius and all.

They would not have that armored when not near enemy
Untrue. They built their forward operating forts in full armour minus helmet.

The 13th during the Galic conquest didnt wear the segmentata armor it was the hamata or the chain mail.

I think the reenactment group were more focused on the Imperial era

Arrows in the back? Hollywood cliché
