Flag Plaza Doha Tour | Diversity & Culture of 119 Nations

FLAG PLAZA is the newest art installation in Qatar. This is where 119 flags have been raised, forming a community space for people to view and enjoy.
The flags represent the nations with diplomatic missions accredited by the state, the European Flag, the United Nations Flag and the Gulf Cooperation Council Flag.
It was inaugurated on 4 October 2022 in a grand ceremony attended by H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, several ministers, along with ambassadors of more than 100 nations.
NEW ART INSTALLATION
Another notable feature of the Flag Plaza is the newly installed art installation called “Us, Her, Him" by artist Najla Al Zein.
The art piece is a series of sculptural benches spanning over 313 meters of hand-sculpted limestone that can be seen around the Flag Plaza.
The sculptures can also be used as benches to sit on and connect with your family and friends. As per the artist, the artwork illustrates various modes of interaction: "acquaintance, friendship, love, introversion, confidence, familiarity, fluidity and obstruction."
