When backbiting is permissable.
1) When complaining about a right that is taken away from you.
2) If it's for identification purposes
3) Doing business
4) Marriage
5) Someone is an open evil person
6) Resolving matters with imaan or scholars.
May Allah strengthen us, and protect us from evil and evil people. Ameen.

Asalamu alaykum. Baraka Allahu feekum, but the title is wrong cuz slandering is different from backbiting. Slandering isn’t allowed even in these six situations.
Assalaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakaatu Shaikh. I have been struggling with this question for a few years now and I hope you can answer me Insha Allah. Years back I have worked with a brother to establish an Islamic party in my country. He is now in a position of authority alhamdulillah. I am from a township where poverty is rife along with drug abuse and gangsterism etc. the brother had a relationship with a young girl from my community who he still supports financially and otherwise. I assisted him to purchase a property in my community for party purposes but bcos of his involvement with this girl everything went bad. The gangsters took the house from him and it became a base of operations for all their evil they perpetrated against the community. He caused a great fitna on our community subhaanallah. I feel betrayed and angry. Now he portrays himself as the good guy who is gonna lead the Muslim community. What am I to do, if anything?
Please do not use this annoying humming in the background. I could not bare to sit through the whole video hearing it. There is NO need for this, especially when such important information is being spoken on..Jazak Allahu Khayran.
