Nice sunny and crisp hike Dan👍👍 Great to be out with the wife and dog on an outing enjoying the wonderful country side together. Beautiful area and the church is glorious sitting atop the hill. Weather was obliging it seems so that was a plus. Thanks for the video and glad the boots worked out. Enjoy!
Great video and beautiful scenery Dan and Mrs. CLB, it was funny and entertaining, loved St.Marthers a very bracing walk, thanks for sharing, all the best.
Such a lovely area around there Dan. And nice to take a trek out with Mrs CLB and your hound too. Not sure about the boots but maybe the upper material is hard wearing and won't need waterproofing. I'd need to be sure they are not like rubber boots and cause sweat buildup in the summer with hot feet. Warren :)
You do carry on Dan.. lol. Nice way to soend a day in the fresh air for sure. Guess it was an arduous task to build that church so far to cart the materials etc but a lovely building. Bushyboy Oz.
G'day Dan, Carley, first off, digg'n both of your sense of humor, especially after a heavy night, ..... we could well make proper Aussies out of you yet ; ) To be honest, I find a day walk far less complicated these days, still takes in the sights, free exercise, still do a nice meal/coffee/beer amongst nature, and of course home to the creature comforts afterwards); though I still always carry enough kit to stay out should I feel the need, or find a ripper spot that cant be ignored. And yep the "bogies" are a bummer, but at least they're out doing something more positive than stay'n home sort'n the sock drawer. Yeah those boots sure did look "space age" but I'm with ya Dan, it's performance first before the look. And yes I believe Scapa are very good, but I find leather too cumbersome and weighty for any sort of distance in this day and age, (though in fairness, excellent snake protection, for their particular height profile anyway). As the saying goes; ....... be good, ..... ....if you cant be good, ......... be good at it. Cheers Duke.
I grew up near the Chilterns ..and they were chalk too !! Really enjoyed this vid Dan mate ! Bless your dawg ! Much love to all !! Give Mrs. CLB a big hug from me !! p.s. I'm hung over all day !! lol What did the ghost say when it woke up with a bad hangover? “Man, I really need to lay off the boos.”
I suffer from diabetic foot, it means I struggle with finding boots that work for me, the trouble is if I use them on a walk round the fields and I get hot spots I then can’t send them back as they have been used, the trouble with diabetic feet is you don’t always feel the hot spots until they get very bad.
I like the idea of a company making boots for those of us with wide feet, but I wonder how breathable they'll be on hot summer days? 8 month revue required me thinks.
Y’ live in a lovely corner of the world. Inflation & fuel prices driving everyone mad….we just have to get out and take in some new scenery & see some nature. 🏕🇬🇧⛰😎👍❗️
