2023 Update: These videos were filmed back in 2021. As of 2023 Jill and I are no longer together and she is not associated with this channel. Wishing her all the best for the future!
Another great video Tieran. Sorry to read that you & Jill are no longer a couple but hopefully you remain friends. Some years ago now being a motorcyclists as well as a cyclist I used my bicycle to go over to watch the IOM TT which wasn't a wise idea at all. Apart from Bikers screaming closely past me I hadn't realised just how hilly it was. I settled for getting into Douglas and staying there for a week. It'll be interesting to see how you got on.
It was a really fantastic part of our journey. I'd never been to any of these parts of the UK before (except Newcastle), didn't realise what I'd been missing!
WOW! What a fantastic trip for the both of you. I am just a casual biker, but that must have been painful on those hills! Kudos for you both and all that stamina you have. Stay safe and btw horses are just curious. The bigger they are, the more gentler they are. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This stretch of the journey in particular was absolutely stunning! But wow, the hills were brutal. I think this one actually ended up being one of the steepest, if not the steepest, of our whole 5 month trip haha. Thank you, not sure my stamina was all that great with how many times I had to stop 😅 But Jill handled it much better than I did! Haha good to know, we're not used to being around horses so had no idea whether they were unhappy to see us camping in their spot or just curious. They ended up being pleasant neighbours though!
Well done for getting over Park Rash on laden bikes! I've ridden it both ways (unloaded) but would not have gone that way with our touring gear. I would have gone via Buckden over Kidstones (that's enough of a challenge). Enjoying your content.
I had no idea that's what that climb was called, good to know! Yeah that was a very tough climb. Absolutely unreal downhill on the other side though, I still remember that as one of the most beautiful stretches of road from the trip.
Yes the descent through Coverdale is fantastic with the scenery changing with the drop in altitude. It's also a great ride the otherway round.@@TieranFreedman
Looking forward to the isle of man video. Cycle toured there last year. Amazing cycling. The biggest disappointment was a lack of bakeries.... We only found a really expensive one in Douglas to refuel at.
It is such a hidden gem, so glad we took the time to visit! Fortunately we were well looked after by some hosts on the island so didn't notice the lack of bakeries haha
We used a website called Warmshowers a lot. It's like couchsurfing but only for cycle tourers. But often we would just cycle until we were tired and then go and knock on someone's front door to ask them if we could camp in their garden. We met so many great people doing that 😁
It was one of those lessons we had to learn the hard way 😅 I use a Tubus Tara front rack now, and in hindsight can't believe I ever trusted those flimsy ones from this tour.

Really nice video mates! I am looking forward to seeing the next one, happy cycling and safe trips! ⭐
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️🚲
These parts of England are FAR more interesting than London to me. Much more life and beauty. What a great upload again.

Shoutout to handy quad guy!! 😂
Haha he was a lifesaver, would've had to take a train if it wasn't for him!
❤ fantastic trip and great video mate

Always carry a Jubilee Clip in your toolkit!
Those gates are a 4king pain in the ass, there popping up every where, councils need to come up with a better idea.
I know right, and there are so many of them! Especially frustrating when you're carry panniers 😅
How did you get the house to stay everyday? Mind sharing the info?

@@TieranFreedman nice... I was hoping some videos from Dublin as well but looks like you guys moved out quickly
What software are you using for editing
I use Premiere Pro and After Effects
The reason why i bikepack no panniers racks
Not all heroes wear capes.
Some ride tiny quad bikes instead
I’d gladly ride 250km to get away from that place
Why buy cheap aluminium racks? Just buy Tubus chrome moly steel racks, they don’t cost so much more. They don’t break.
