“In Life either we are INSIDE a storm, Or going into a storm, Or coming out of one”
Our ship was caught in cyclone NYATOH last year in December & I managed to capture the entire journey.
Inside the video I have placed special emphasis on the following topics :-
1. How a ship plans it’s route while transiting troubled waters.
2. How we prepare our ship for heavy weather.
3. Shots of waves greater than 5metres in height.
4. What I do when I get sea-sick.
5. The measures we take to manage our ship when we are close to the storm.
And not to forget the time-lapse/night lapse of the entire transit.
Enjoy the video & don't forget to give it a big thumbs up if you found the video informative .

A proud mom you are! I am sure its hard enough for you. I have seafarer friends, their moms literally pray all day everyday when they are out in the sea so that they come back safe. Stay blessed mam.
I find the calmness and competence refreshing. Everyone's just chill, 'oh, here's the danger, here's how we get through it safely', no drama, just get the job done.
My grandfather was a sea captain in the merchant marines for 33 years and when I was little he would tell me of the storms he was in and seeing this really helps me see what its really like out there..i respect everyone who goes out to sea💖
Your grand fathers time so many scientific gadjets were not find out. He could have lots of chalengs to face. Great.
As a land walker, this is absolutely amazing to see.
❤️
Totally fascinated. Could watch you for hours. What a wonderful life. I know it comes with bad days. But, dude I’m envious. Incredible.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks Mr Singh for the explanation of how you interact with the storm and the weather. Be safe...Troy Pham from San Jose, CA USA
I am impressed with how knowledgeable you are knowing the many many vital things it takes to run this ship, along with your crew. Great in- dept video!

found that really interesting, i love the sea its something to be respected thats for sure . you look very much like one of my grandsons . me and my husband were on a ship years ago going to Norway from the UK the sea was rough everything was getting thrown around ,it was scary as hell but tbh it was fun at the same time . stay safe on your travels
Hats off to you and your crew. Everything is kept in pristine shape. You obviously take a lot of pride in your ship and it shows!
Thank you
I am from Mumbai. From childhood I mean after high school time I was really fond of weather forecasting and studying the weather. I would have liked to make weatherman my career. Now also in monsoons and storms, I never miss checking the MET DPT website and satellite maps and try to predict the weather. I have a habit to check the weather before setting out for a long trip or an important traveling. After meeting Navin, my next-door Guy, who is working on a merchant Navy ship as navigating officer and watching your channel I am realizing how important a role a weatherman plays on a ship sailing in the ocean. I am really enthusiastic, respectful, and proud of the job you guys are doing. Because of you guys economy and trade of the nation, as well as the world, is stay balanced and maintained. Salute!
Thank you for appreciating that Santosh
Bhai ab kya kar Raha hai tu?
I have same feeling that u mentioned in your chat
KSN , Greetings from Raeford North Carolina, USA!!! I’ve be checking your videos out for the last few weeks. Good stuff man! Thank you and the crews of all those involved in the shipping industry. I used to drive the 18 wheeler trucks here years ago and have pulled from the ports of Charleston and Norfolk. Where I live at is only about 1 1/2 hours from Wilmington North Carolina and we usually get brushed by Atlantic Hurricanes. Sometimes, we get hammered. I watch a couple of other Mariners channels and I will wrap this up with the same thing I tell them , may all your voyages end safely with fair seas and following winds. God Bless you all and thank you again.
Thank you so much for this beautiful comment IBBY
Beautiful vessel! I particularly love that it is so energy efficient. Aside from that though, the layout of everything is extremely nice, your cabin seems very comfortable, and almost reminiscent of a hotel room, all of the machinery in your engine room looks like it's in pristine condition, and all the technology you have access to, on board, is amazing. Thanks for the video! Great content!

From the sheer size of a ship like this down to the complexity of every thing involved is completely fascinating. I absolutely love how you show different equipment and explain what they are along with their purpose. I’ll definitely subscribe keep the great content coming.
Excellent video young man. You are doing a fine job. I have to say this, though, if you got seasick on your HUGE ship, you would have had a REAL "fun" time on any of MY warships. We would roll so much so that you could literally walk up a bulkhead. As the helmsman, I managed to stop two ships from capsizing. The first resulted in a 52 degree roll the second only a 48 degree roll. Younger sailors used to complain "Walking on the bulkheads is such a problem." I would respond, "Walking on the bulkheads is not a problem, BUT walking on the overheads (ceilings), now THAT would be a problem." Have safe travels and calm seas.
Thank you Ron
It’s not the size of the ship, it’s the motion on the ocean.. sometimes I’ve felt the tiniest of boat movement can cause the worst sea sickness
What ship did you command that can take a 52 degree roll.
BTW to save time you can just name the ship because it will be documentated then I'll contact the real captain and post results
Bro thank you for sharing your daily life with us!! I work in an international logistics company (NVOCC) and it’s great to have the opportunity to see what happens on board 🙂
Your Videos are not just a vlog these have so much information for those who want to know about it as well as for those who are studying in maritime academies and who are going to join their ship.

The Navy said eat saltine crackers helped to fight sea sickness. Had a X.O. said if you work harder it would help too. Don't really notice any difference on the work theory.

I watch from start to finish including ads. Really fascinated of the life on board for me as a Land Based Overseas Filipino Worker in Saudi Arabia.
Great channel and reminds of my deck cadet days in Safmarine. We went through a similiar situation massaging from Hong Kong to Singapore in 1981. We were on the SA Vergelgen, a 12500 ton general cargo ship with 250 ton Stulken Derrick. It was rough to say the least. I went through 3 tropical cyclonic storms at sea, the Typhoon in South China Sea, Hurricane Dean off the American eastern seaboard and Cyclone Demoina off Durban on route to Fremantle Australia. We alo saw what the Wild Coast of South Africa could do to a supertanker when one hit the ship off Port St. John's. A double decker bus sized hole was blown out of both sides of Number 1 tank when the cargo of diesel was pressured downwards and sideways by a huge wave lifting the bows othe vessel rapidly, forcing the sides of the tank to rupture. It was docked in Capetown harbor awaiting repairs. An eye opener for a 17 year old cadet in his first week at sea.
Went through exactly the same thing crossing to Viet Nam aboard the USS Boxer in 1965. Couldn't go out on deck, couldn't empty the barf buckets often enough. Never so glad to land in a hostile country in my LIFE!!!
Awesome content, keep the videos coming. A beautiful reminder of my time in the maritime industry. 🥰

16:06 you showed an interesting picture, that is from a ship that had a mayday in a storm and was abandoned by the crew.
The AQS ship aka AQS Tor actually fell off the ship and into the sea off Norway and was unmanned and adrift for a while, it was towed to port and inspected and had very little damage as a result and is today back in service with its customer (The original ship was transporting new vessels to various customers when they got in trouble)
No other ships or crew was lost in the incident though.

Interesting. I came across your channel by accident really but thought to take a look. I spent 16 years at sea in the Royal Navy, serving on Cruisers, Tankers (Antarctic Runs), Minesweepers and Frigates. Believe me the difference between your vessel & ours is the difference between night & day, and we certainly didn't have any of the fancy navigation & weather gear that you have today. I won't go into comparison as the Naval ships of today possibly have some or all of the devices that you have shown. Apart from the fact that our vessels never stop pitching & rolling.. Severely at times.. Notwithstanding, I did enjoy your documentary & have subscribed in the hope that I'll see more. Thanks for a very entertaining video.
