The Guardians NEVER said "someone's controlling him". What they said was, "someone "must" be controlling him...?" It's all about interpretation. To understand what was said, you must understand the nuance of how it was said. This was said as a means for the Guardians to justify his actions because they didn't believe Omni-Man would do something like that. So they were questioning his reason for doing so. That "someone's must be controlling him" statement was more so a question than an actual statement. Because, like the audience, the Guardians have no clue why he did it. So, they attempt to make up their own reason by assuming that "someone must be controlling him". But, it's pretty clear that no one's controlling him. He was never being controlled, and at this point I think that's quite obvious.

I like the show but the violent parts are too violent, and I like ninja scroll. It’s just such a huge tonal jarring, the show is somewhat lighthearted then BANG, the most graphic shit I’ve ever seen in animation. Good show but they need to tone down the graphic violence IMO
