Fun fact: These girls always wear white as a contrast to being in a metal band since black is usually associated with metal. Another good LOVEBITES song is "Shadowmaker", but you should also check out "Blooming" by BAND-MAID. Thanks!
@@DavidMISAMISAMISACook ha ha dave! i was looking for miho! miho! miho! dude it's almost to the point where i'm giving up on the scream link and it's now pissing me off!
YASSS!! I love you Tori for reacting to Lovebites and loving this particular song hahaha. But jokes aside, these ladies are indeed so talented, dressed like angels and play like a true heavy/power metal band. Guess you already took a first bite, eh? If you still wanna continue the journey, please react to their songs Shadowmaker or The Crusade, which is their love letter to Iron Maiden (one of the band's biggest influences). Thanks again for the reaction!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I played piano between the ages of 5-19. Classical was my training (Sabre Dance was my favorite to play early on). At the time I stopped playing I was a really good jazz/blues player, yet I was listening to mostly heavy metal music on the radio and still to this day. Led Zeppelin in 1971, when I was 11, turned me into a metalhead. Up until that time rock music was my favorite genre. Keith Emerson is my favorite keyboardist playing with Emerson, Lake & Palmer, are my favorite progressive band. Lovebites is now my all-time favorite band. They have modernized 80's metal and wrap many sub genres together into their unique genrevof metal. If I was forced to pick a favorite member, my musical background draws me to Miyako. She's an elite musician in two instruments, playing both at prodigy level. And to think she became a wife and mother not too long ago.
Well that had the effect on you that I was hoping for! 😋 Don't tell Emppu, but Midori (white guitar) and Miyako (Black flying-v guitar) are my favourite guitarists. Miyako even plays keyboards and guitar at the same time, Eddie Van Halen style! Other Lovebites songs you need in your life: Rising Shadowmaker The Hammer of Wrath The Crusade Golden Destination Break The Walls That's just a few for you to get a feel for what these incredible ladies are capable of - and they supported DragonForce on the UK leg of their world tour last year. Sadly, I didn't get to witness their magnificence. 😭 But I DO have all three full albums: Awakening From Abyss Clockwork Immortality Electric Pentagram 😍❤️🤘
Don't mean to be stickler but Miyako's guitar is Dean ML series. Flying V looks like a V. That one is kind of mix between a Gibson flying V and a Gibson explorer.
3 of the best cd's i've ever owned. now all you gotta add is the battle against damnation ep to add 4 more songs to to your collection not on any other cd. amazon still has it . their first ep is not available any more but those 4 songs are on the awakening cd.support the babes!
Can't stop headbanging watching their videos...ready for another bands? Unlucky Morpheus,Aldious,Marry's Blood,Yuzukingdom,Versailles,Jupiter,Liv Moon,Cross Vein,Alhambra,Zettai club,Wagakki band,X Japan,Galneryus,Jiluka and more to come🤘🤘🤘😀😀😀😁
I second Mary's Blood. Saki is the best shredder around. "Marionette" is a good starting point for them as Saki's solos in this song are excellent. Another good band is Fate Gear.
At last somebody mentions Liv Moon, I have a couple of her albums (purchased for me by a Japanese friend in Yokohama). She was my gateway drug into Japanese metal but very little known. I'll check out the others you mention, there are a few I hadn't heard of.
They are pretty good friends with Dragonforce. People need to check out the clips from the recent Dragonforce UK tour with Lovebites in support. The highlight is the 'Farm Simulator' song where Miyako and Midori joined Hermann and Sam on stage with Sam on banjo. Nothing like Japanese girls playing shred country.
@@snakewhisperer1 That was theother epic moment from that tour. The best part of that was everyone on stage singing a metal version of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On".
Agreed! I know that song from the Celtic Woman rendition (I'm friends with their original violinist.....talk about a shredder!!!). It was cool to see it covered in the Power Metal genre!
Dragon Force has guts! They have had Babymetal on stage with them and now Lovebites on tour with them. There are other bands who wouldn't want these ladies on the same bill with them.
good reaction and review, check out their ballad song titled "Epilogue" live in Tokyo. You will hear a beautiful guitar solo and also Asami's golden voice.
how many times have you seen a switch-up in the breakdown from lead guitar to rhythm to lead guitar and rhythm again...and the drummer is insanely good....what's going on Japan??? Akane from BM destroys the drum-set, this girl is awesome too...! I love your honest and genuine reactions...
Nice reaction, was waiting for the surprised faced. In an interview they said they wear white to show up better on stage as they're all pretty tiny, drummer is 4'9" (she's been called a pocket nuclear reactor) and tallest is 5'1". They've been around since 2018, when the drummer (Haruna) and bassist (Miho) formed the band. Once I discovered Babymetal a couple of years ago, which led me to Band-Maid, then Lovebites, Unlucky Morpheus, Gacharic Spin, Fuki, and the list goes on and on, the one thing that struck me most about the Japanese rock/metal scene was the number of extremely talented female musicians.
The arts are taught at an early age, those with talent are encouraged and supported by an infrastructure of training. When looking into the backgrounds of them many were playing piano as early as 6. Another reason is it's something the Sake, not the water.
these women are pure immeasurable skill. If you think this video is remarkable, here's Miyako (second guitar... the one with the black guitar) playing two songs ("When Destinies Align" and "Raise some Hell") at a convention... no special dress or makeup, at a hallway stage aimed at the equipment behind her, surrounded by music players who can tell if she's real: ruclips.net/video/fdmXB8h0Yf4/видео.htmlm41s
Glad you liked the song, they are incredible. I got another japanese suggestion but it's not power metal. Its It's something..... group is called passcode song is miss unlimited
Not only did they get the name from the Halestorm song, Lovebites's lead singer, Asami, has gotten to sing the song with Halestorm at Download festivals in the UK and Japan.
Ok that was interesting, also 'when destinies align' really nice title of the song. I was waiting for the martial arts to start in the video. 🐺🐱🏍🐱🏍 Would be interesting if they can play this way on a live stage? Can anybody recommend a live gig?
Chopin Revolutionary Etude Op 10 No 12 & Swan Song ruclips.net/video/n1BiurShqBM/видео.html Miyako not only plays great guitar which she learned to play 10 years ago she's played piano most her life and is also a concert pianist here she showcases her skill on Chopin and her Composing abilities on Swan Song
Thanks for review, and since you were impressed by their talent... I recommend you to react to their masterpiece song called: "Epilogue" LIVE performance in the link: ruclips.net/video/QgKIoz88-8A/видео.html , where one of the guitarists (Miyako) not only just play guitar impressively, but as being trained pianist... she switches between keyboard and guitar throughout the whole song. Other 80's metal band sound (Judas Priest) is Mary's Blood try Marionette (ruclips.net/video/MLM2unV0kwU/видео.html) and hear Rio's driving bass and Saki's fingers of steel shredding blend a great power metal sound.
