I as a 32 year old man picked up simply guitar and can play guitar now the app works I payed for a year subscription and I took the classes seriously and tried to learn what I could online. It’s great for me and maybe it’s just not good for you also the app has been updated to hear your notes better
Yeah I went from thinking the guitar is impossible to learn for me to suddenly learning how to pick in 4-5 weeks…and I didn’t even practice everyday. I can play cords at basic level and slowly learning to perfect strumming and now starting to pick. All this in the space of 1.5 months and I’m probably being generous with the timing of it all. I also paid a year membership to dedicate myself to it. From thinking it was impossible to learn guitar to shortly being able to play basic guitar is amazing. Even my friend was shocked that I’m already picking. It’s all due to this app. I must confess though, that the app does need improvements because sometimes it shows that I’ve played a note when I didn’t play anything at all at times. But I know when I’ve made the mistake or not and rely on my own honesty to myself in order to correct myself or not to learn properly. This guy in the video is having a fit for no reason.
@@yo-yo_7 These apps do hold you back. If you want to really improve past the early to medium intermediate stage you’ll need to learn tabs from online and listen to songs to get the timing down. The best way to improve is learning songs not really drills since you’re then learning actual applicable stuff. Some drills are ok but that shouldn’t be all you do. Also these guitar RUclipsrs give very useful and applicable advice for basically everything, and most of the time these apps force you to focus more on the app than your actual technique. I know this comment was 6 months ago but this advice is still very useful
you only saying that because you play the flute. There are significantly more people who play/ want to play the piano. Plus, you should blame the elite flutists for overlooking flute beginners. No other group of musicians is gonna take time to design an entire program for your instrument

Get Ultimate Guitar tabs instead. It’s not the most accurate, but it’s a good resource. And if you use it alongside RUclips videos and you look up questions you have you should be pretty set.
