I think it might be the relay for the radiator fan

My golf mk3 gti engine can be running and the factory alarm will activate while running. Then it will not start. I would have to go to starter and direct start it.

Youre supposed to just unlock the door from the outside with the key while the alarm is going off. I doubt anything is broken.

When you turn the key , and motor gos in and after off , than your problem is the immobilizer

Hey dude, just saw this, so obviously this was years and years ago. The issue with my old golf turned out to be simply that the battery terminals were dirty as hell. That was it. The security on the car was assuming the battery was failing connection, and activated the immobilizer.
In my case, all I had to do was clean the battery posts as best I could, and the shit worked fine.
Could be different in your case, hopefully it's the same though.
      Good luck homie!

There's only one tool to be able to fix your issue and that's using your cell phone to program the number to the junkyard in it and have them come get it😉

it's your negative starter cable. I would know becuase I had to replace the stupid cable that got fragile and brittle and broke -.-
not sure if it's connected to the alarm horn in some way thou becuase my alarm doesn't go off
