That’s what I’ve gotten from all the interviews and articles I’ve seen from those that were actually there and saw them interact. John and Freddie were little brother/big brother, Freddie was a mentor that John looked up to. Brian and Freddie were true creative partners, like Lennon and McCartney. They brought out the best in each other’s work through friendly competition, and Brian was like a brother towards the end. But Roger and Freddie were truly friends. Soul mates, they regarded each other as absolute equals. You can see it in all their photos together and their interactions, on stage and off. They look at each other like honest to goodness friends, neither of them acting subordinate to the other, both completely confident in themselves and accepting of the other one as himself.

he has a 20 foot statue of freddie in his garden!
Roger didn't explain properly but said he helped Freddie carry a piano up stairs up to his flat
I'm assuming it's the piano from freddies college that his mother wouldn't let him have!
she said in an interview that he really wanted it,she said they couldn't afford it,he said it was free but she still wouldn't let him have it
this may be when he left home
Freddie didn't tell this story but said in an interview that his parents didn't support his music, that's why he knew it was right!
but in the film his parents have a piano in their home!?
he stayed with roger for a while
he and Roger ran a stall selling Freddies drawings and clothes
apparently Freddie hung his coat up,came back and Roger had sold it so freddie went running after the guy and took it off him
when they made their demo Roger said it was him and Freddie going round everywhere on the bus trying to flog it!

It wasn’t on greatest hits 3 because it wasn’t released as a single and so wasn’t a hit. Show must go on with Elton wasn’t either but was probably included to promote the ballet it was from.
Winters tale wasn’t the last song Freddie sang, that was Mother Love...he didn’t finish it hence Brian sang last verse. A winters tale wasn’t included (wrongly IMO) because of marketing, would encourage people to buy the album....same reason why Scandal wasn’t included....too many off one album.
No reason to include Bo Rhap as it’s on Greatest Hits 1.

I think they should have included Bo Rap
they had 3 greatest hits albums
it would have been nice to have it on their first and again on their last as it was re released in 91 after Freddies death
technically it was their first and last no 1
though it was released with days of our lives
I wish they hadn't done that though
I think it should have been seperate
Bo Rap is now the first us diamond awarded single, having the equivelant sales of 10m singles
no sense for winter tales not to be inc
the whole point of the album is to include their hits! it was no 6
there was no need for them to release it in 1999,they could have waited, still four years after their last album
it was Freddies last song that he wrote and sang,he also played keyboard
mother love was Brians song, and freddie didn't finish it
if they can have singles on there that are with other artists and haven't been released, also Freddies solo work and odd re mixes etc
I don't see why they couldn't have Rogers tribute song
      it's a very strange album
scandal was on greatest hits 2 album
the ballet was first performed in jan 1997
their album was released in Nov 1999
maybe they thought having Elton on their would have helped sales?
imo they should have had Bo Rap,winters tale, the other singles off their last album and tracks that became fan favoutites but weren't released at the time,or perhaps didn't do well at the time
      And the tribute songs
