  • Gimbal-less, 4-quadrant MEMS mirrors are typically used in tip-tilt (two-axis rotation) mode, for various optical beam-steering applications. In this demonstration we operate three typical devices in 3 DoF (three degrees of freedom) mode, by also independently controlling pistoning motion of the mirror (up and down).

      put a ccd light detector and you can compensate for vibrations by tilting
