    Good to see someone do this without breaking apart the engine transmission. Nice work, Thanks.

    I'm not even looking for an oil pan, but I watch all your videos. Always informative. I like the fact you included a few rough measurements, in case someone wants to know if it would clear their crossmember, etc. 👍👍

      Thanks! I include this stuff because I try to gain the same information from watching similar videos

    Hey I’m doing a low profile oil pan for my 5.3 06 Silverado I was wondering if you knew what the torque specs are for the oil pickup tube and for the windage tray as well.

    Looks great. Seems like a must have for my ls-into-sandrail project. What did you do about the dipstick?

    • @scantronsgarage
      @scantronsgarage  Год назад

      I would agree. The dipstick looks like it will still work with the depth difference if that is what you were asking

    so how much oil do you put in there? because you have a smaller oil pan

    • @scantronsgarage
      @scantronsgarage  Год назад

      Thats a good question! I dont know yet. I am going to put oil in it this weekend and I will get back with you on an answer. I am assuming about a quart less than usual

    • @scantronsgarage
      @scantronsgarage  Год назад

      I did the oil this weekend. I put in 5.5 qts and it seems to be a bit overfilled by the dipstick reading. However after the first start the oil should drop some.
