I'm not even looking for an oil pan, but I watch all your videos. Always informative. I like the fact you included a few rough measurements, in case someone wants to know if it would clear their crossmember, etc. 👍👍
Hey I’m doing a low profile oil pan for my 5.3 06 Silverado I was wondering if you knew what the torque specs are for the oil pickup tube and for the windage tray as well.
I had the same issue, the thread pitch is different. I wo (2016 and up ) und up using a filter from a newer Camaro. I don't know the part number though.
here you go, I thought I had it in the description www.amazon.com/LOSTAR-302-1-Retrofit-1955-1987-Engines/dp/B09B4X7YRD/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3ARDOQ8XKX6Z3&keywords=ls+oil+pan&qid=1679323672&sprefix=ls+oil+pan%2Caps%2C252&sr=8-3
I left a link in the description of this video. It's an amazon link. It will bring you directly to the listing. Or you can just type in lostar oil pan in the amazon search.
Thats a good question! I dont know yet. I am going to put oil in it this weekend and I will get back with you on an answer. I am assuming about a quart less than usual
I did the oil this weekend. I put in 5.5 qts and it seems to be a bit overfilled by the dipstick reading. However after the first start the oil should drop some.
Good to see someone do this without breaking apart the engine transmission. Nice work, Thanks.
Glad to help! Thanks for watching : )
Nice video. Clearly explained details, good picture quality, no excess chatter, just straightforward DIY stuff. Good work!
Thank you! I am not much for words

Its coming along. I got the cam in (with bad news) and the engine bay is painted now. Video updates soon
you need some more views with this good quality work.
Thank you ! And, I certainly agree with that
Looks great. Seems like a must have for my ls-into-sandrail project. What did you do about the dipstick?
I would agree. The dipstick looks like it will still work with the depth difference if that is what you were asking
What oil filter did you use me up using I can’t seem to find one that fits for mine
