  • After breaking the Irish indoor 400m record for the second time this year, Rhasidat Adeleke joins Joe Molloy to discuss her record-breaking runs, how she runs as quickly as she does, and why she has moved to America to continue her career.
Allianz Insurance are delighted to announce their new partnership with record-breaking Irish sprinter, Rhasidat Adeleke. The multiyear deal will welcome Rhasidat on board as the newest sporting ambassador of Allianz Insurance, as the brand commits to supporting the 20-year-old’s bid to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. Allianz are proud global and local partners of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements and continue to build on their strong support of Ireland’s future athletes, inspiring them to write their own future with the support of Allianz to underwrite it.

@@22grena And are you sure you are of 100% Irish genes yourself, you're almost definitely not! Not that I'm advocating taking one of those DNA tests but I know people who have done so, can be eye opening what it turns up. Anyway, since Ireland is not a racist fascist state thankfully, the scope for Irish nationality doesn't start and end at whether you have 95%+ White Irish genes.

Literally almost no one is 100% genetically Irish, Conan O'Brien did a skit on it before when it came back that he apparently was that! Whether you like it or not, and you apparently don't, we have people who are Irish who are of African, Asian, South American, other European countries origin, and of mixed race origin. Like @93RubixCube said I hope she's proud of her Nigerian origins and she shouldn't forget that, but now she is also part of Ireland's story, much more a part of it than either you (Tom Green) or me are!
