I’ll say this the final scene of Michigan holding up a trophy feels like such a madden scene, like when do players who just won some sort of championship/bowl game hold their trophy while in complete uniform and helmet, usually their in some sort of winners gear helmets off maybe a hat

In the small amount of gameplay we were allowed to see, I saw minimum 3 or 4 animations directly from Madden. That scares me.
you can go back and play Madden 12 and NCAA 12 and you'll see the same animations a lot. my point is, it's a football game made by EA, the gameplay can't be THAT much different

I can honestly live with Madden gameplay for a year if the modes and presentation are as good as they look like they will be. After 10+ years I’m not gonna be picky lol
Its the gameplay that im most worried about. My DBs not covering... my lineman missing blocks and having no awareness... my recievers dropping wide open passes for no reason ( yes i understand some of this does happen IRL but in game it happens wayyyyyy to much) and when i play on Heisman... i want the CPU to play better... not my players play worse if that makes sense.

You can fix all of that by boosting the CPU awareness slider.
This is why Ryan is the man. He gives credit where credit is due. In this rare scenario, EA seems to have done something right, so he recognizes that. I'm still waiting for gameplay before making any purchases but the trailer has got me excited ngl hoping the game is just as good

Yea tbh. Even if the actual in game gameplay isn’t amazing. The dynasty and RTG structure can make it a very enjoyable experience.
They're the largest gaming company on the world. There's never been a bad college football game. Seeing as they hired modders from ncaa14 revamped and everyone on the team is a big college fan. Thru most certainly do deserve the benefit of the doubt. There's people out there that'll bitch no matter what, cuz that's what they are but this game is going to be on point.
Btw, Madden had it's best year ever this past edition, so there's that....

After seeing the trailer, I immediately thought the animations looked identical to Madden, so I had to come right here and see if there's any other talk about it.

One thing I liked about the old NCAA games were they felt smoother than Madden. I honestly think this new one will just play like Madden.

Don’t preorder. There is no need for pre order anymore. Games don’t sell out like they used to. You just gave madden the incentive to push back game patch and bugs to post release because they are getting paid regardless.

Gameplay for NCAA 14 was never great, but it was the modes and details that held it up. Even if the gameplay is like madden for this game, everything else with keep it playable
ncaa 14 also played amazing, i can point out so many different things it does better than madden 24
idk what NCAA 14 you been playing but that gameplay is top 5 of all time. give me NCAA 14 gameplay over any Madden besides probably 25(2014) or 2016

Edit: I forgot about the issues with fatigue where in the 4th you could be down by 21 and the CPU would go brain dead and couldn’t cover a go or tackle anymore making 21+ point comebacks in the 4th way too easy.

Gameplay along with presentation is very important! It did look similar to Madden in the animation scope but until gameplay is shown and people get their hands on it I won’t be getting it since more perspectives is more info for others
If this game turns out to be good then hopefully dynasty mode is dope this year down to the little details like having to bench one of your starters because they weren't performing well in school

@ryanmoody21 zoom in on the sidelines when they show the Alabama players holding up the belt. There are static players sitting on a knee doing nothing
I noticed the players get dirty too, not only the jerseys but their arms, and accessories. Pause it when they show Michigan holding the trophy and you can see the detail of dirt/mud on body and jerseys
At 6:54 on the reverse play, you can see the classic Madden "lead blocker decides not to lead block, and turns around".
Because it’s a reverse to the other side, that guy no longer has the ball

NCAA Eye Candy. Need gameplay. Physics. AI. I already know EA can do mascots, cheerleaders doing flips, dancing engine, etc, etc, etc. FB Pro 98 is the best physics and clock manager and playbook when customized. Modus is still closer Sierra.
it wasnt some stupid animation montage with fancy phrases for bug fixes being presented as "all new" flashing across the screen so i liked the trailer

what game reveal trailer, for any game, has actual gameplay. ALL of this is in the game per Scott @EA. Like you said, these were some of the intros for the teams. each team has a unique entrance. that's what they are trying to show. how are you not impressed with these scenes? the detail is AMAZING! i love the Texas A&M crowd. it looked real for a sec. now the little bits of gameplay (instant replays) kinda looked like Madden moves. gameplay will be shown here in a few weeks, then judge. if you judge on this video, it's mainly showing the graphics in the game and showing the atmosphere which just doesn't exist in any Madden game. judge on that and wait for gameplay and when/if you get the game in hand. it's a little too early to be judgmental. have you read the notes on their page? goes more in detail on some things.
OMG I can't believe a College Football game is back. Me, my girlfriend, my older sisters, my mom and all of our friends are so hyped up about this game and can't wait to buy it.
this was great. I like they bringing back all the old stuff when games were fun. like crowd momentum and teambuilder! this will not be a madden clone!
We all need to understand that EA forces all sports games to be on the same engine (frostbite). So yes, you will see some Madden animations. HOWEVER, the attention to detail of program traditions and (hopefully deep) franchise modes is what will make this game special and feel like college football. I do want to see ganeplay to make sure it isn't a buggy mess, but overall I'm hyped. RTG always seems to be detailed like it was back in 2010 and 2011
You saw no gameplay and have no idea what the dynasty mode will be like or any other game mode. Nothing. All you saw was pre rendered cutscenes and jump cuts of on field action. You saw no substance. Of course you will see Madden animations. You'll see all of them. Because that's what this game was built on.
I watched it the first time and thought it looked good then noticed something concerning: In the Wyoming-App State kickoff return, there are two players with the number 40 on the field.
Same thing when the Miami FL players celebrate the number 4 is there twice.
Its a small detail but when it comes to EA, nothing should be overlooked.
Can’t wait to play it , I’ll be getting the 150 bundle since I’ll be buying madden 25 anyway. Might as well save 10 bucks .

for the love of god the madden animations will be similar or somewhat the same they use the same engine they’ve done this in the past. the only thing that really separates these two games is how immersive the fans and atmosphere is compared to madden. the fans the recruiting the signatures run outs the fight songs that’s what separated them

In terms of realism I’m amazed with the player models. They look like replicas of actual cfb players. The faces need a lot more work though. I think EA can sort that out before the game is released in a couple of months.
I just hope they allow us to export draft classes to madden so that I can finally enjoy madden a little bit, and if so I will be buying my first copy of madden since 2020 :)

No mention of the game modes. No explanation of game modes, is there a coaching tree, what does recruiting look like?

SoftDrink seemed particularly excited by this trailer to a degree that made me worry he was getting too hopeful. You’re right that the lack of gameplay footage and use of certain camera angles can’t help but make me think they’re trying to hide something. Really wouldn’t put it past EA just to focus on improving the lead-up to the games and not spend much time on actual gameplay. Guess we’ll see…

I don’t know if anyone else noticed but Florida has 2 #15’s in the locker room. Miami has 2 #4’s when doing the U celly, and Wyoming has 2 #40’s when in the cinematic scene against App State. I don’t like to see that!
