Their lyrics are very poetic. The vocalist wanted to be a writer before they started the band. The first two LPs of them are based on various stories. I'm not sure but I think since this album they develop their own story about Anabelle.
I started liking alesana around age 13, then around age 20 they played at my favourite nightclub (in Australia) and I fangirled so hard haha. They put on a great show and were so nice, I met a couple of them up at the bar after their show and drunkenly gushed over how much I'd loved them for years hahaha. Great band!
Ruurrh~ I'm always glad whenever I get to see an Alesana reaction! Their variety and transitions are rrrealy enticing as well as their music ability and lyrics always hook me, they bring a lot of art with their stuff! Even better when I find a new channel that's sic
Class of 2010 here but their first big album came in 2006 when they developed a fanbase. They followed it up with another album in 08 before The Emptiness came so you guys still had a chance before graduating high school LOL! Anyways, Lullaby of the Crucified is a great one they did a few albums later. Similar vibes yet more melodic.
Nice! Alesana is one of my favs. The third album of the trilogy is one of my fav albums of all time. Their uncleans got so much more refined on that album too
Great reaction to my favorite band of all time. Hope for more reaction to them. Maybe the whole album "The Emptiness" which is super exciting story all based on Poe's Annabel Lee :)
I listened so much to this band from 2010- 2013, I was 13-16 years old, and have recently found myself come back to this band the past couple of years. They are so underrestimated imo or its just my taste of music. So nice to see you and others enjoying their music too!
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast is that a public playlist? We can all listen to?... Having said that don't look at mine, lots of dirty secrets in there 🤣😂🤣
Really to get the full extent of their version of the story, you gotta do the entire album start to finish, I don't know why this song specifically gets the most love
At around 3:57 the way yall looked at each other. Idk know if yall related or together but that was a look of "i appreciate you in my life and what you do" is so B E A -uitiful Edit even if its neither my comment still works.
I just binged a couple episodes of you guys reacting to the silver scream and now this, and it seems like you guys could appreciate the Johnny trilogy by Crown the Empire! Definitely fits the Halloween theme for this month :3
Dennis is an amazing fucking screamer dude. Alesana has been my all time favorite band ever since i heard tilting the hourglass back in 08. So fucking underrated sadly
This is one of my favorite concept albums ever! I got to see them on warped tour during this album cycle and they were so good live. What I also really like about this album is it sounds very raw it was recorded and mixed very well and at that time a lot of bands were over producing records and they just didnt sound as good this album still holds!
never heard if them?!?!? My god, i started listening these these guys well over a decade ago...amazing stuff...not every song is amazing, but most of them are.
I recommended some Misfits in your TON vid, I figured I should also include Dig Up Her Bones from them as well since it’s longer than their Halloween songs. You two are still amazing as always
Ironically, I found this band while wandering on the fan animation side of RUclips and I stumbled upon Warrior cat I was in middle school. Wasn't in the fandom, but I listened to the song over and looked over the name and kept listening to their stuff Currently 25 and still like them.
Oh shit you mentioned haste the day and I'm pretty sure I have their debut album laying around somewhere.....now to try to remember where the hell it could even be 🤣🤣 also nice reaction 👊, GF in 2008-10ish loved this band and I kinda can't blame her lmao. It's definitely nostalgic now. however only really listened to 3 of their albums, on frail wings of vanity and wax, where myth fades to legend, and the album this song is from. also used to jam to AFI as well, the used, Aiden, etc lol. Good times also also seen them in Atlanta in 09 I believe , kick-ass show
Child of the jackyl - Chthonian Descent It's a sideproject Dennis Lee (unclean vocals) of alesana started and it sounded awesome, too bad it never really hit it off 😔
I recently found your channel and love the whole reviews/podcast format ♡ I used to listen to alesana back in middle school which is around 2009/2010 I have a suggestion of a song you should review ! Until Eternity by Blackbriar ♡ sending good vibes !
Great video, I also missed these guys. However you make me feel old... You are talking highschool 2008.. my son was born in 2004 and my daughter 2007... Lol
Love Alesana, i'm happy to see that you do so many reactions to bands i love 😍 I have a very "emo" type of music taste, but love all genres of metal. Absolut love Enigma, Enya and Mike Oldfield and such 😍🥰
A request I would like to put forward is Aesthetic Perfection with any of the following songs: Gods and Gold (with Richard Z Kruspe) S E X/Gravity/Automaton (with Sebastian Svalland) Party Monster (with Jinxx)
This makes me feel so nostalgic, they were my absolute favorite band in high school! I really hope you guys delve deeper into their music!
Me too! Isn't their dedication to literary works truly mind-blowing?!?
Their lyrics are very poetic. The vocalist wanted to be a writer before they started the band. The first two LPs of them are based on various stories. I'm not sure but I think since this album they develop their own story about Anabelle.
That's rad. We'll have to check out their previous stuff as well.
Yes they have a book called Annabele about all 3 trilogy albums :)
Just saw them live for the 10 year anniversary of this album and it was amazing. They sound so good to this day
Saw them too and caught covid. Got home and told my wife it was all worth it!!
honestly i wish they blew up more those guys are insane they made my teenage years better lol even till today i listen to them
They sound AMAZING live I’ve seen them a few times they are still one of my all time fav bands

Fun fact Shawn and Dennis both did a small stent of literature in college. The writing and story telling of these 2 are just underrated and phenomenal
Great reaction to my favorite band of all time. Hope for more reaction to them.

Very beautiful and poetic song. I’m with you guys on missing the boat for this band, but I’ll definitely be checking them out.🖤💜
Yes🤘🏻🤘🏻 we grow out spotify playlists together!!
@@ArsenicAndEspressoPodcast is that a public playlist? We can all listen to?... Having said that don't look at mine, lots of dirty secrets in there 🤣😂🤣
Haha actually we should make one for you guys.
I saw them live once years ago before I knew who they were and it was amazing.
Really to get the full extent of their version of the story, you gotta do the entire album start to finish, I don't know why this song specifically gets the most love
I agree with you. I think it's just their most watched video on RUclips but they have so many other great bangers that don't get enough love.

Just broke my hip, tripped, and fell down the rabbit hole of time. I feel decayed.
Seriously though!

The greatest music video ever created was their song Lullaby of the Crucified.
Oh shit you mentioned haste the day and I'm pretty sure I have their debut album laying around somewhere.....now to try to remember where the hell it could even be 🤣🤣
