Sir you are doing a commendable job.... Whom cannot afford to go for expensive classes can get it...... God bless you
Thank you. If you like the channel please share among the friend who are preparing for CAT exam
The language "next cheaper" is not clear. Some people might think about the the route that is even cheaper than PQRV and PQTUV - which comes out to be PSUV (1190).
However in the context of the question what "next cheaper" means is - Assume PQRV and PQTUV were the cheapest possible options. If you look at this way - then "next cheaper" would mean the 2nd best option that is only slightly costlier than above routes - which is PSTUV(1400)
Mujhai bhi yahi problem aa rahi hai
i agree with you, but the same should be understood considering the fact that the extra charges will definitely increase the overall cost. So choosing the PSUV path would be completely wrong.
The point to be noted for question 3 and 4 is that the govt is increasing charges on these routes, this means the charges on the route will increase, and not decrease
Tho I agree 'next cheaper route' is not clearly stating it's intent
One more doubt it sir said route is cheaper than the costliest route and suppose along with 1430 and 1400 there was another route costing 1390 then what becomes the answer?
Sir in 3:47 the question language should be ... Rs 10 is charged for kms over and above 30 kms .....right? otherwise the last line is
quite confusing
Instead of 200+ 20a + 10(a-30) , I tried with 200+ 20*n1+( 30*n2) where n is extra miles tralleved after 30 km for which charge is 30( i.e. 20 + 10( premium) ) n1 is b/w 1 to 30 and afterwards n2, all the questions were solvable with that context as well.
22:30 You don't necessarily need to calculate the fare cost for QRUV, it is known the distance is more than QRV and the extra charge remains constant, hence the QRUV route will always be more costlier than QRV route.
What does the term 'next cheaper route' mean in this question? Does it mean the 2nd costliest route? I am a little confused regarding this.
Yes ... If a, b, c, d are routes and are arranged according to value of money in ascending order then .... The next cheaper route after c wiuld be b and similarly for b it would be a.... And we were asked the next cheaper route so we have to assume it as next cheaper to the highest value
@@himeshpandey57pandey55 but he don't asked about nxt cheaper route after costliest route
language of the set is fucked up ,no doubt
Simple it said next cheaper route means after getting all value 1430 is costliest then next less costlier is 1400 so pstuv is next cheaper route means 2nd cheaper route from highest
@@satishchodisetti7896 agreed
If anyone thinks that, if the total distance exceeds 30 km then the charges become 30/km(additional premium 10 is required after 30 km)🤔[In first question]
sir please clarify "next cheaper route". Acc. to me, next cheaper route from PQTUV is 1190. So the answer should be 1220-1190=30. Otherwise shouldnt "next cheaper route to the costliest route" be mentioned in question itself?
I too have the same doubt
Same doubt, I also got 30 as my answer.
The condition here is that the cost of travelling along PQRV AND PQTUV becomes equal to the cost of travelling along the NEXT CHEAPER ROUTE. As we can see that PQRV is giving us 1040 and PQTUV is giving us 1220 so the bigger amount is 1220 therefore, we will now find the next cheaper route available after 1220, which is 1400 that is PSTUV.
yeah...this is the real meaning of that statement rather than going for the second most costliest route.@@deekshagupta8890 Thanks for clarification.
the language of the question is absolutely awful
boycott Maldives 😂
Can anyone please explain’next cheaper route’. Why did sir take 1400??? 17:02
Next could mean 1430 too
It means cheaper route than the costliest route
@@mr.anonymous2488Can you tell if there would have been 1390 then 1400 and then 1430 then what would have been the answer 1400 or 1390?
cheaper cost ko costiler cost kse bna diya🙄🙄😅
17:15 1190 is the cheapest route, why sir didn't take that into consideration?
It is not
Sir, Is there a way /trick to verify if we have written correct set of routes for a given network?
sir this 10 rs charge isnt clarified . isnt it 10 rs as additional base prize as and another 10 rs as to be multiplied with extra kms? please verify somebody
After 30 kms we have add 10 rs to each km after 30
Eg if one has travelled 32 km then (32-30)*10= 2*10 this is added to other cost
Sir in Q1 maximum distance from P to U should be PQRVU=48km. So why have you taken PQRU as maximum??
Look at the arrow. There's no route from v to u. It is u to v
In question 2 there should be PQTUV the highest route
Why not P-S-T-Q-R-V-U = 76 ?
You have to follow the arrows. We cannot go from T to Q or from V to U.
question changes as soon as video approaches end.
IN QUE 3 , how did the next cheaper cost is the 2 highest route cost?
because the next cheapest cost after 1220 is 1400
@@prashantupreti24 thanks for the explanation.
but for 1040 ..next cheaper route should be 1190…
I m just worried bout the guy on Island V…😴
🤣
If maldives are in Hyderabad, the boat man will take Govind from P to U be like =P-S-T-Q-R-U 😂😂😂😂
sir please make a full series from basic concept to advance level on Routes and Networks topic of Dilr 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hello Sir, there is only 1 video on Routes and network. Pls provide the other videos as well sir. Thanks
In first question can’t route be PQTSU ?
no, check the arrows mentioned in the question. one can move only according to the direction of the arrows. so t- s is not possible
Sir in question 1 - the longest distance should be P-Q-R-V-U = 48kms
You can't go from V to U as the arrow is in opposite direction and in the question it is said the arrow is the direction in which a person is allowed to move
so in last ques, we will not calculate the charge introduced from Q to V?
Great work sir ❤️, sir I also want to know that you will upload further videos on lrdi ?
Great work sir thank you so much 🙏😇
Can you add videos for Triangle charts?
Nahi
Nice set Sir, Thank u❤❤❤💯💯
Sir u have done a great job ... beautiful question with beautiful explanation
isnt the interpretation of the line "next cheaper to" related to the next cheaper route to PQTUV?
that should be PSUV?
But charges are levied, and chargers can not be in negative ;
@@bewithpallabi3120 Thanks
Thank you sir very well explained !
Read Base Price! I didn't consider and did the entire set wrong
Thank you
Sir, what does that above 10 rufiyaa for a km imply?I'm not getting it kindly explain sir
Ya ..me 2
Base Rate = 20$/km.
Extra 10$ is charged if distance exceeds 30km.
Means rate till 30km distance= 20$/km (which is base rate)
And, after 30 km = (20Base+10Extra)= 30$/km.
Arey jese hi 30 km se uper hota hai.....per km per 10rs dene padenge!
@@rupalichaudhary7128 are didi....10 rufiya premium alg s mention h.
In q2, why can he not go PSTUV? And even PQTUV?
because that's the short route and question is asking for highest possible amount which is only possible when you go through longest route
Sir in question 1 you have not taken any 5 route but in question 2 you have taken 5 routes I didn't get that
maldives 😁
Great work sir ❤❤❤❤❤
In first question PSTQRU is the longest route (64km) which can be covered.
no, PSTQRVU IS THE Longest with 71km distance
I was thinking the same!
The direction of arrows indicate the path that can be traversed. Meaning you can only travel in that direction. One cannot travel from V to U or T to Q. Read the question carefully and then answer questions.
Sir why in the first problem we haven't taken the route PQTSU?
Bro there is no arrow from T-S na
Be careful
Sir ek question ko solve krne me 24 min lagega 😂
Sir samjha samjha ke kr rhe h islia time lag rha h...once you get use to it hardly 5 mins I guess
Thankyou sir. You are the BEST.
Sir is it rational to draw digram by pert-cpm method?

I think for Q1) the formula must be 200+ 20 a + (a-30)10 +10.
Please let me know if this is correct or not.
As it is mentioned in the question: an additional premium of 10 RS charged over and above 10 RS for a km.
No.. The equation mentioned in the video is correct!
the question got changed to 10rs over and above 10rs for km when sir started solving. the actual question is 10rs over and above 20rs for km. Going by your perspective, 200(base price) + 30*20(for first 30 km - 20rs) + (extra kms *(10+20)). Going by sir's perspective of solving, it is 200+20a(a=total kms) + (10)(a-30)(=extra kms*10)
yeah you correct extra 10 rupees will add here
Sir in Q1 I am confused it says after 30 km an additional premium of 10 rufiyaa is charged over and above 10 rufiyaa for a km.
Sir this means that above 30 km for every km rs 20 per km is charged sin i.e rs 10 is charged over and above i.e Rs10+Rs 10 . Isn't it sir ?
I am Confused in meaning of over and above . What I think ia over and above means Rs 10/km + additional premium Rs 10/km i.e total rs 20/km is charged above 30km.
Brother the meaning of over and above in this question is "in addition to"
agree
In question 4, you missed adding the charge which is applied after exceeding 30 km...i.e. 10*(30-26)= 40
Additional charges are applied when obtained distance is more than 30....and 26 is not more than 30...so how can we add those additional charges
@@kavitaarora3720
If it less than 30 than charge will be applied 20
And ravi sir not added it?
Sir in Q1 why govind cant goo from P-Q-R-V-U
V to U check arrow direction
