start with independent events ,track down the events that depend on them , merge acccounting for maximum time . Cumulatively keep adding time event to event
Reminder for myself - Do question 4 again.
Do it
Do it.
do it
Bottleneck for U is P...P ends at 40 and U starts thereafter...R is not creating any pblm..Even if we delay R there won't be any change in U's start time( bt condition R should completed max by 40 and R takes 10 hrs) therefore start R at 30, P starts at 35 and diff is 35
Sir, I think if we draw arrows from one process to other dependent process then that would be more clear
Yes
Thank you it really helped
Yes. Arrows help.
its the PERT CPM scheduling algorithm, we learn it in Operations Research !!!!
haha fellow bba mate here
If anyone is confused abt the R Delay: Check
R takes 10 hrs to finish, and
U must start at t=40 to maintain the said timings and structure.
40-10= 30 is the last value at which R must absolutely start.
so delay it by 6 hours and it will still not be a problem.
Thus making distance btw R and P = 5 Hrs (35-30)
What if R was connected to any other value
@@AjayYadav-vp5gu we cant tamper the data then
@@divyabhatia8677 have you solved any other questions of these type
@@AjayYadav-vp5gu no, i was just doing this one
But if we are dealing R to starting time of U it's not getting completed right.. ques is all previous stages should be completed then only it will start
I didn't get the last question..Can u please repeat it again..!!
They are asking MINIMUM time gap between start of P & R. Which means the more we delay the process R, the minimum will be the time gap between P & R. We can delay R because P is not dependent on R. We will delay R in such a way that it will end exactly when P ends because U is dependent on R & P.
R start time = 24
R finish time = 34
P start time = 35
P finish time = 40
P finish time - R finish time = 40-34 = 6
Add this 6 to R start time to get the new start time of R. i.e.; 24+6=30
Now, the minimum time between P & R is
New R start time - P start time = 35-30 = 5 hours.
This set is on another level
Sir please solve truth and lie LR set sir
Have u found?
If you want to think mentally without diagram then this is what I did in 4th Que: go with the sequence of S X Q V. now here you can either complete R or T
but if you'll complete R first the time gap b/w P and R will increase.
so complete T first, Then P and Then R
P will complete in 5 hrs and then R will start. therefore gap b/w them is 5 hrs.
[DONT TAKE R AND THEN P AS THIS WILL MAKE A GAP OF 10 Hrs]
1st and 4th ques can be done without diagram
Great. please make more quality content. TIA.
Q4 is amazing
I was in the notion that my previous knowledge of CPM PERT will help a lot in these questions, after going through the first video of Routes and Networks. Ravi Sir comes up and teaches it directly to everyone in the second video, just amazing sir.
i studied this in industrial engineering/operation management
Great set
Does the phrase "within 35 hours" include the 35th hour?
yes
Answer for Question 4 has to be 0
Thank you sir ❤️
Dear sir..plz reduce ur size..i cant see R in the figure.plz sit in the corner😂😂😂👍🏻🖤
sir, in 4th que we can also start s process 6 min later to make it minimum
Superb concept and explanation👏
Sir please bring more sets like this for 2024 exam

did you clear cat?
ts possible to draw different diagrams?
Sir plz explain confusing question in hindi
Bruhh 💀
CAT tests you on your English as well.
why s& w aren't connwcted?
Thank you Sir🙏.
can someone tell me why we arent taking S's time in V?
Ask yourself what V depends on?
Its S and Q right?
Now, S only takes 3 hours to complete, but Q takes 16 hours to complete.
And it's mentioned in the question that unconnected processes can take place simultaneously.
So if in 16 hours, Q gets completed, then couldn't we say S (which isn't reliant on Q) can be completed because it only takes 3 hours.
So that is why there is no need to count the 3 hours of S, because it is taken care of inside the 16 hours for Q.
because v is latest affected by Q not by S. S is ending in only 3 hrs but V can start only when both Q &S are completed
Sir s ki time add ku nehi hua?
sir please explain how to reduce r by 6 hours. could not understand
R reduced by 6 hours because to make U we need R,P and T ready at 40 hours. P takes the maximum amount of time i.e. 40 hrs, side by side R which is prepared in 34 hrs can be prepared in 40 hrs and still the original process won't get hampered. So, we delay making R to get the minimum time instead of starting at 24 hrs, I could start at 24+6=30 hrs and still get the job done
Thanku sir
In Q1 there should be 5 processes completed before T??
Can anyone explain me😢😢
@@madnurebalajikaluram4588 yes I also have similar doubt... according to the time taken method there should be 5 processes completed before T
I also got 5
how? to start T we just want to complete 4 processes that are V, Q, S, X
Thank you sir!!!
For V, Q and S are prerequisite so in V, value of S should also be added and if not please can anyone explain why it's not added.
I think, independent process as S can be simultaneously performed with X-Q. So within 16 hours P, Q and S will be complete. Similar logic when U is processed. At that time R is taking 10 hours which can be performed simultaneously processing T-P.
Correct me if wrong
because of s and q are happening simultinously as per the question it means while q is in process s would be complete .
@@TheHeartbeatstudiocan you explain? Also how is your preparation going and how much you scored last year?
Where can i find the tune that plays at the start of this video
Kuch bhi 😂
Iss sajan ko kya taklif h bhai.
answer for question 3 should be 5. counting mistake
4 is correct
6 is correct.......it is asking at most how many processes can be completed within 35 hrs and T is completing with in 35 hrs
Thank you sir
In question first. For T to be completed we need 35 hours. So R has already completed which is in 34 hours. So total processes completed before T are S X Q V and R so answer should be 5. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
But doing R was not necessary before t we only need to check for t that's why answer is 4.
@@rahulpurohit6667 Samajh Nahi Aaya :(
Before starting T, thats why.. okay..!
To start the process T it is given that V should be completed so again to start the process V it is given that Q and S should be completed , following the same way X should be completed to start the process Q and there is no prerequisite for process S. So before starting the process T, processes V,Q,S,X should be completed
You can understand it by --- there's no connection of T with R hence the remaining processes are S X Q V
