Enjoyed viewing your *Prepper Experiment* today... 🤩👍🌟🌟
0:39 ...You can't rely only on the Cheap made Thermostats...I suggest you invest in a Temperature Infrared Thermometer (laser) Gun ..these are super accurate for outdoor cooking / USA bar-b-que competitions.
Your very lucky, to be in sunny territory.
In Northern Canada , we don't have the SUN SHINE, like you do ...We get spots of sun, and lots of cloud cover..LOL

I have the same hat, Soaking it in cool water really helps keep the head cool thru evaporation. I wore one when living in Death Valley.

I kind of want a hat like this. Bright experience left a Sunny side up like. ❤

I live in southern Louisiana. Humidity plays a key part in survivability problems for lifeforms. Reaching high temperatures with an easy ability to evaporate off heat is less of a problem. I do as much stuff as I can at night. The humidity holds a lot of the heat, but the temperature still drops. Humans should learn from the desert animals. Stay underground during the day and come out at night.
I wear a very large brimmed hat, if I'm out during the day. I have the Celtic skin which when it tans it's called Melanoma.

I wonder if a cast iron pot with cover in the sun would get hot enough to cook food over time

I should really use my Sun Oven more often. I'm glad I have it if I need it, but I really need to get more experience in using it.

I deliver mail in Arizona and I use that hat. If people don’t like it, they can kiss my ass.
