Hurricane Helene hitting south Georgia shutting off power with heavy wind gusts

I'm an hour & a half north of Valdosta. Can't describe how bad it was here. Still without power. Just got phone service today. We're used to Cat 1's, but dang, not this.

I don't understand why your governor didn't give you directions to those in the path. This storm was almost 400 miles from the eye. Prayers for all in the path. 60 something lost. How sad.
