God I thank you,the hurricane put 3 trees down on my neighbors home, she lived there since I was a lil girl, ime 47,it's heartbreaking. THANKING GOD,MY HOME WASNT DAMAGED,AND MY TREE DIDNT FALL.ITS TIME WE GET OUR LIVES TOGETHER. PEOPLE GIVE GOD THE PRAISE AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.AND HELP SOMEONE IF YOU CAN.
I’m originally from the Orlando/Kissimmee area. I now live in Valdosta and I tried to warn as many people as I could. I’ve experienced a few strong storms and to be honest this was definitely not the worst. Unfortunately when you’ve never seen anything like this you downplay it. The area got hit really hard. Hopefully everyone will be ok.
@@madmaxus1313 luckily, my last destructive one was Hugo. We're in jesup, no power still. At least Hugo, power companies ready in sc, so they got us back up in 58 hours. Not prepared for this one
@@SouthernSetApart-qs2yg we are doing the same thing. Make sure you tell them and anyone else you know without power that you can go to a loves or pilot truck stop and pay $17 for a shower. Might be a little wait but they give you a towel and washcloth to use.
@@markpalavosvrahotes5575 me personally it was Charlie. I was buried under what was left of my house. I got extremely lucky during that storm. I was going to evacuate but my truck at the time had a major transmission problem the day before landfall and I couldn’t leave. Figured I could just bunker down and ride out the storm. It is a long story but the short version is nice the windows blew out of the house I knew I was going to die. The next thing I knew the walls and roof were crushing me. I was told I was under the rubble for about 18 hours. I got lucky, unfortunately a lot of people didn’t. I still to this day struggle with the guilt of being alive. I really shouldn’t be.
I am just now able to start seeing the news after Helene. It was power out and then into survival mode or helping others mode. When things started to come back many of the people did not realize how bad it was here and became worried about our neighbors in NC and other states. It was bad. Hurricane Debby was worse for me but a neighbor had a tree across her front and back porches in Helene. Then we had to prepare for Milton. There were some fires after Helene too. Matter Georgia suffered. Food was hard to get and gasoline too. I was okay sort of camping out but others were not. It was hot. Debris is still a problem in Georgia. From flooding and a few weeks later to massive winds and no supplies even if you could get out. Then evacuees from Florida were coming and thinking this would be a good place. Hoping they found safe spots.
Wow. Not much news about the areas up near Statesboro, Metter and surrounding towns. How did that get missed? Those people matter too. Crops lost, homes lost and people without.
Statesboro might've had the worst. A big Tree was out of the roots the traffic lights wasn't working it was so bad the wind was so strong that it sounded like a cat fighting.
I'm so sorry for all the people affected by the storm. Will be praying. Jesus Christ saves and comforts (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, John 3:16)! Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.

. President Biden has released millions for everyone for help, FEMA is on the ground as well as the National Guard. As big of an area as has been affected, unfortunately they can't be everywhere at once to start out with. By the way, trump also plans to do away with FEMA, so hopefully nothing else major happens if he gets back in. 💙🇺🇸💙
