The pull tab is a standard in these kinds of shoes, it’s quite more discrete than some others though. I am pretty sure you can remove it if you really want!

It depends on the model. If it was a vintage 124 in red yes. I’m not a Mercedes fan though.
Mercedes and Fiat are now both made like a tinny piece of sophisticated mobile computer. Any charm disappeared many years ago.
