- Felt like animating some ssssnakessss because I think they're neat.
Sorry I keep disappearing, the last year or two have been pretty hectic. Relocating overseas is pretty stressful, I haven't had a lot of time to animate or keep up with the art world on social media ^^'
Music: UNSECRET X KAT LEON - VENOMOUS: • UNSECRET X KAT LEON - ... - Кино
As a snake researcher you have no *idea* how happy I am to see each snake here clearly had real species referenced. No 'boas' with viper fangs, or 'rattlesnakes' with hoods, or 'mambas' with slit pupils.

SNEK
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I LOVE SNEKS
The beginning is absolutely GENIUS. Having the song say “catch a liar by the toe” with the venomous coral snake hidden among non venomous milk snakes? Glorious.
For anyone wondering what snakes are all shown here~
0:01 and 0:07 - Coral Snake (Has the Hurt Juice) and Two Milk Snakes (Does not have the Hurt Juice)
0:12 - Close up of the Coral Snake's head (Cutey~ Do not boop though)
0:21 - Copperhead Pit Viper realizing he's been spotted
0:24 - Copperhead showing us his pretty lil Teeths
0:25 - Copperhead having a meal (Presumably a big tasty rat)
0:29 - Black Mamba giving the viewer a painful lil kiss
0:36 - Black Mamba doing a slither
0:40 - Diamondback Rattlesnake shaking it's danger maraca
0:42 - King Cobra showing off his lovely hood (He's not a happi snek)
Danger maraca LMFAO
I loved how you used all the meme/lucid chart terminologies for each of the sneks
@@bluestardragon7598 venom??? Never heard of that word. Hurt juice? Ah yes! The juice inside the sneks, unfortunately makes them unboopable.
Not Milk Snakes! They are actually Scarlet King Snakes.
I love the danger noodles

The Danger Noodles trying to convince me that they’re as a matter of fact not friend-shaped:

As someone who studies snakes and owns several...the like inhale size doubling you animated is SO on point. Like that inhale, double in size, pupil dialation is something I've seen my 'Baby girl' do when she's feeling fussy.
AS A SNAKE ENTHUSIAST I AM HAPPY TO SEE ANATOMICALLY CORRECT SNAKES
i like how the snake featured in the "catch a liar by the toe" part is a scarlet king snake, a known fake of a coral snake
I think there’s also an actual coral snake in there
@@isabellanelson9586 yes there is
I love how a very talented animator just heard this song and went. "Oh yeah, venomous snakes, love those spicy guys." And then proceeded to dedicate a very long time just to animate snakes. Love it, giving them danger ropes the recognition they deserve.
two milksnakes and a coral snake super clever! (red touches yellow, your a dead fellow. red touches black, your an okay jack.)
this is super cute, the fangs you drew and the proportions of the snakes are amazing!
disclaimer! the rhyme does not work with every species of snake, and may make you think that a venomous snake is safe! always research the snakes in your area and never pick up a snake you can't confidently identify :)
I have another rhyme my mom told me! Red and yellow poisonous fellow! Black and yellow safest for the fellow.! ^^
A version that I've heard is red to yellow-kill a fellow, red to black-venom lack
The irony of this getting recommended to me minutes after my dog gets bitten by a copperhead. Of course as a snake lover I had to watch.
ur dog ok?
Hope your dog is ok 🙏
is your dog ok???
The fact that so many comments on this video *cannot* agree about the venomous to nonvenomous snakes or correctly identify the *actually* venomous snake in the beginning gives me Anxiety. The guy with the black head is a Western Coral Snake, the redheads are scarlet king snakes. There's one venomous snake to two venomous snakes.
There's even a rhyme for that snake
@@AntProxy The rhyme is inaccurate, do not use it please, just leave the colorful snakes alone.
I love the extra detail at the beginning "catch a liar by the toe" with the coral snakes (venomous) winding around a kingsnake (nonvenomous). Very cool! Love this animation!
Its the other way around! It's a bunch of king snakes with one coral snake!
@@fennecishere Ooh you're right, good catch! I got confused because I thought coral snakes are usually smaller, but that's not important c:
Ooooo! I thought they were milk snakes :0 (except for da coral)
@@Kiko_animations Milksnakes are a type of Kingsnake!!
Wouldn't be a snake video without a cobra. Cobras are definitely my favorite snake, their hood makes them look so cool and menacing
Hehehe the California King snakes hanging out like "yeah I'm toooootes venomous all my friends think I'm the venomest guy around!"
I love how in the first shot, and maybe some others, there were snakes that aren't actually venomous or deadly. Some snakes have a camouflage/defense pattern that makes them look similar to actual venomous snakes so predators stay away!
The one I recognized was in the first shot where there is a snake with two black/one white patterns and there is a snake with one black/two white pattern, or the venomous Coral and the non-venomous Scarlet King snakes.
Minor correction-- king snakes are non venomous and coral snakes are. But otherwise spot on, and I loved that detail as well!
@@Ryan-iw4pt Oop! I just knew the two names and didn't know which was which. I guess 'Scarlet King' just sounded a lot more deadly to me! Thanks for the correction!
@@KaiLeeAspires No problem at all! Most people don't even know there is a difference, your knowledge is really impressive already :) hope I didn't come off as rude.
@@Ryan-iw4pt Aw thanks! It wasn't rude at all!
I love that all the snakes look somewhat threatening or 'scary' and then there's the coral snake with it's derpy lil ditto face, amazing.
Also snake animation! I love snakes! 100/10 for the danger noodles!
The 2 milk snakes snuck into the animation
this was an excuse to draw little danger worms, I'm calling it now.
I don't know why the most cutest snakes have to be the most venomous, I mean seriously every time I look at a cobra I'm like damn your hood is so adorable, or rattlesnakes that have those adorable rattles like they're about to play in a band.
I'd say all snakes are cute and pretty. The ball python from the pet store are adorable and chill. The corn snakes have pretty red and orange styled colors. Even the milk snakes are cute! The venomous wild snakes are also very pretty, like the viper with their flaired, uh, whatever its called (correct me on that). And some interesting green snakes and snakes with the reptiled eyes that are very pretty. All of them are cool
My inner snake nerd fucking enjoyed this
Literally same
While the rhyme "Red on yellow, kill a fellow; red on black, friend of Jack" is good here in Texas, we have some coral snakes who are nearly all black with yellow stripes by the head!
And in central and South America, many coral snakes, such as the aquatic coral snake, actually follow the red touches black description. The rhyme is only really useful in the States, and even so, the Arizona coral snake doesn't really have yellow. It's more white.
But despite this, the use of snakes, the accurate anatomy, the posture, the body structure, and the fact that the pupils are used correctly is absolutely astounding. I love the detail with the rattlesnake. Popping its head out, its pupil goes from round to a slit. Because that's one of the biggest things as a snake educator, I have to explain to people: just because the snake has a slit pupil doesn't mean it's venomous. A rattlesnake in low lighting or even a cottonmouth or copperhead is gonna have a round pupil, and multiple venomous species around the planet have round pupils, including the Black mamba and the whole cobra-type snake, both of the king cobra and the Naja genus.
Excellent job.

Love how the king snake is hiding in there too trying to be all scary like his cousins but he has a cute face because he's just a derpy pool noodle with no fangs.
Well, you would be dead, because that's the actual coral :)
Remember, folks: Black touches yellow, kills a fellow. Red touches black, friend of Jack. Pat the noodle responsibly.
this rhyme is inaccurate, can only be used in certain parts of the world and even then, please don't use it
Thought it was red on yellow kills a fellow
That is correct, red on yellow kills a fewllow, red on black friend of jack
DO NOT pat a noodle you identified with that rhyme, as it's inaccurate because of the many different looking species of coral snakes and could get you bitten.
The noodles are noodling.
Comes back after 3 months.
Drops a cool af snake animation.
Does not elaborate much.
Hopefully doesn't leave for another 3 months.
Red and Black, Friendly Jack. Red and Yellow, Kill a Fellow.
I think you mean
Red touch black friend of Jack
Red touch yellow KILL A FELLOW
Ahhh, maybe not *all* red and black snakes
I always thought it was if red touches black you’re all right Jack
If red touches yellow you’re a dead fellow
@@cloudywithachanceoffruit7831it's a reference to the general thought around coral snakes and the milk snakes that look like each other to differentiate which one is actually dangerous, it gets less accurate I believe the further south you go into their shared range
OMG THANK YOU!!! I was trying to remember the saying when I saw the coral and milk snakes at the beginning.
The fact there is death music behind such cute danger noodles is just 🤌
The first shot with the two milk snakes mixed in with a coral snake is AMAZING!! Great to see you uploading again! :D

I am a simple person. I see snek, I click the video
Same!
Remember kids, if red touches yellow, it'll kill a fellow 👍
Fun fact! The snakes in this video are I believe Scarlet Kingsnakes, which are actually not venomous at all haha!
@@hestrial1042 scarlet kingsnakes actually go red, black, yellow, black, red. While coral snakes (the venomous of the two) go black, yellow, red, yellow black. (hence the rhyme) all snakes in this video are accurate to their species, but dw abt it people get them mixed up all the time lol
If you're in tropical areas, this rule does not apply. Also, sometimes Coral Snakes have bands that go red, black, and yellow like a stereotypical Kingsnake. However, for the most part, this is still a good rule to follow!
Red touches black, friendly jack. Red touches yellow will kill a fellow.
(Except when it doesnt) (but thats only really in tropical areas) (just be careful with snakes regardless)
I love how the first snake, just had that 🙃 look

Some of those are badass! And then some look like little goobers. Very true to the snake world tbh
I completely agree! I particularly love the start with the two milk snakes and the coral snake, implying how hard it is to tell the difference at first by the audio(if you didn't know, milk snakes are harmless and sometimes pets, while coral snakes are venomous)
I love how happy the snakes at the beginning look compared to the rest of them
Yooo!!! Thats so cool!! The first part is two milk snakes and one coral snake! Coral snakes are venomous while milk snakes are not, and using that as the enny meeny miney moe part is just incredible!!

I love this!!! So many accurate spicy noodles! As someone who does want to go into Herpetology, this is absolutely amazing! You didn't just draw snakes with the colors. You drew and animated them with their different body shapes and defense methods. Also the Kingsnake with the Coral snakes in the beginning is such a great concept!
I love how cute and derpy the coral snakes look, compared to the rattlesnakes and cobras once the music kicks in.

I love this so much! I don't usually see people include coral snakes when they reference deadly snakes, but I love them and it's so cool to see them here next to the kingsnakes. Seeing them together here kind of reminds me of the trope of twins who wear different but matching outfits. This whole animation makes my snake nerd heart very happy
Hello Wingedwolf94, I love your animations. They are always amazing.

OH FUCK YEAH SNAKES
IM ALL FOR THE MIX OF KINGS AND CORALS AT THE START!!!
Bonus points to anyone who knows which is which 👀
Red touches black, "poison" lack
Red touches yellow (/white), kills a fellow
Note: this isn't tried and true for all king and coral snakes. There are coral snakes and king snakes with no red whatsoever. And coral snakes that are only red and black, but obviously still dangerously venomous.
There was only one dangerous snake in those three, and that is the only one that looks different, which of course is the coral snake!
Funnily enough, the coral snake used as an example, micrurus nigrocinctus babaspul, is actually extinct. It's noticeable difference from the commonly known Micrusrus Catamayensis is the white stripe on the head being significantly closer to the eye in a wide band around the head.
I'm not entirely sure which snake species the other two are though, they are some kind of Kingsnake or milkshake (milksnakes are a subspecies of kings), possibly lampropeltis elapsoides or lampropeltis triangulum Campbell. All look practically identical to eachother especially if simplified as much as the video.
@@EarthlingCanine actually didn’t they make king snakes a new species entirely at one point? (Sorry if my research is false 😭please correct me if I’m wrong!)
@@Kiko_animations both are lampropeltis, so same family, but different species individually! They used to be considered the same species but that was separated!
